hammer grip with dumbbell presses
« on: June 15, 2009, 12:53:03 PM »
what do you guys think about hammer grip (palms facing in) during dumbbell presses???

personally, I feel them more so than with a standard grip......an added benefit to this style of grip, is that you can bring the bells down a touch lower.

What do you guys have to say???

I do most of my pressing, including overhead, with a palms in grip.  Doesn't aggravate my shoulders as much.

You can even try doing flat or decline db presses and rotating the dumbbell all the way so the palm faces toward you like a reverse grip press at the bottom and then twisting palms forward at the top.  Interesting movement, I think it's called a Keye Press or something like that.
