if you don't need to cheat, don't do it.

You can do a clean refeed instead. Only complex carbs all day, moderate protein. Aim at 800-1000g carbs and 50-100g protein.

good advice DK, but it's going to be quite hard to go lower than 8% naturally, and hold on to muscle NW.  Your body is going to fight against you at this point.

i would get more than 50-1`00g protein...more like 150-250g......& i dont think theres any reason to limit to complex carbs. simple carbs and sugars are just fine.

If you are losing weight and still feeling energized than I don't see any reason to cheat.  Your metabolism is still kicking.

Once you stop losing weight, and maybe start feeling less energized and maybe not as hungry, then maybe your metabolism is slowing down and it could be time for a refeed.  Obviously a clean refeed is better than unhealthy junk.

good luck!

The body doesn't care what is "clean".  As long as it's not trans fats, eat away.  Do you honestly think the sugars in a sweet potato are clean?  or the sugar in corn as opposed to pure cane sugar?  Come on dude.  Go change a diaper

cane sugar is half fructose half glucose. corn sugar is basically just glucose.  cane sugar is vastly inferior to corn sugar.

fructose = no insulin, no muscle glycogen, no effect on protein metabolism, no effect on cortisol, no effect on thyroid, no effect on leptin, very easily adds to fat stores.

glucose= insulin, glycogen, stalls protien breakdown and slightly increases protien synthesis, inhibits cortisol, boosts thyroi, stimulates leptin, very difficult to add to fat stores. .

glucose carbs = good carbs. regardless of "sugar" content or glycemix load.

fructose/glucose carbs = bad carbs... regardless of sugar or glycemic load.
