How did chris cormier lose to lee priest at the Australian Pro?

Granted, Lee is a great Bodybuilder.Arguably the greatest small(5'5 under} bodybuilder  in history.But how in the world did he beat chris at this show? I just seen the pics and it seems as though chris murdered him.I know that its his home country but it's still a physique show and chris had this one hands down.

Lee Preist won because his conditioning was the best it has been in his career.Pitures do not do him justice he looks like a cartoon  character,an absolute freak weighing 200 pound at 5,4 as i have said before is mindblowing.
I think the judges rewarded Preist the win because his conditioning was spot on.
I am a big Chris Cormier fan but his physique has not changed since the 99MrO.I do not believe Chris murdered Preist on stage but i agree if Chris Cormier improved his physique with 20 more pounds on his near flawless X frame he would never lose to Preist or Cutler and be heir to the MrO title.

I agree that lee's condition was the best that i've seen him present onstage including more detailed hams and glutes, but imo it was'nt enough to overpower the mass symmetry and detail of cormier who has ALSO improved since his last few outings.

I agree partialy if Cormier is on and his conditioning is spot on there are only two bodybuiders who can beat him Cutler,Coleman but both these bodybuilders have made significant improvements in the last 2 to 3 years where as Cormier has stagnated.

My only problem with Cormier is he, in most contests, lacks the striations in his upper body muscles that appear in some of the more ripped competitors. I won't go so far as to call him smooth but I think he could do better. Other than that his overall physique is so balanced, & well known,  that fans & judges may be getting bored of it.

True,i agree that the film of water leaves chris' cuts a little marred to the eye but lee has a midgets body so to speak ,and his arms overpower the rest of his upper body.Should his recent improvement merit him the win over a total physique such as cormiers?

I do believe you deserved the win. 

But if two competitors are neck in neck, home field advantage is huge.  Did you as a competitor give more effort to this show knowing it is in your backyard?  I have to believe you have contests that you favor and had the best results from.

Thats been Chris' problem most of his career his conditioning always kicks him in the ass , he has all the tools to be competitive but like Flex Wheeler he is his own biggest enemy.

Ive seen CC prep a few days before a show and beleive me, he leaves A LOT until the last minute.

Like Im talking serious cardio the day before the show while everyone else is carbing up....

That would explain his "mysterious" problem with conditioning.

I'm happy Lee won.  I wouldn't have lost sleep with the decision going either way.  Lee's glutes were even shredded which was a career best.

I saw the pictures and didn't have a problem with Lee Priest winning it. He was a tad sharper and outsmuscled Chris in many poses.

Lee deserved it whether it was in Austalia or the North Pole. Chris is one of my favorites but he was WAY off. Lee nailed it. Congrats!

That being said generally its "fair". 

Still, under the circumstances it was definitely lee's show to lose.

If he were correctly placed on a regular basis, perhaps the most gifted bodybuilder in IFBB would get his lazy shit together and do everything perfect for not only 1 month, or 3 months, but for 12 months or 18 months.

That is what most of us who train serious do.

To just train isn't gonna cut it.

Lee looked incredible as well. The judges in the bigger contests needs to wake up. Lee, if entering, should be in the running for a top 4 placing at the Mr Olympia, if the IFBB is gonna act out their new rules.

But I doubt they will. They are gonna give the Sandow to Anaconda, so they can have a 10-time winner. It has a nice ring to it.

I know everyone on here considers themselves "hardcore", but I don't know if you want to proclaim that you are more dedicated and have a better work ethic than a pro bodybuilder like Chris Cormier.

I just looked back at past Australian photos that Chris won and yes.After the Arnold he thinks oh well the big show is over i can relax i am the big name in Australia so i will win.Well knowing that i just stayed in shape and got better ,yes also going home for the first time to compete since i was pro also helped me stay focused.I have always said chris get gifts coming in 80%.If like you said he got what he deserved he might get his ass in to shape and be the best he can.That way there are no compliants .Chris has one of the best bodies out there but you must bring the whole package to a show.Hey i would have loved to see Chris win because i know how bad he wants it.But when you go up against Dexter and the like you must come it at your very best(not what your friends tell you) so there is no arguement you should win.
