Actually, no they don't . The posts made by Tre, The Ugly, ManBearPig, Dr. Chimps, all have quite the redeaming value than anything you have posted, especially since it is a email and come to find out that person doesn't exist. You are like the people who send money to the reps of the Nigerian National Bank, just from a email.

well, ordinarily, I afford you respect for thoughtful posts

here, you are like unto a buffoon
and I started the 'redeeming' thread

I love it how so many morons will blame the blacks and we are 12% of the population in the states and not every black is hurting A guess would be half. So 6% of the people are causing all these problems or 6% of 300mil.  No.  As MattC loves to say, the numbers don't add up...Let me guess? You want to throw in the Mexicans also? Oh brother...Like many have said it's not mainly a race problem although I will say it contributes to a degree.

BTW health care is a RIGHT not a privilege. So you facking imps that feel you can make a dollar of everything can go fack yourselves...
Just look where we rank in health care and that will show you how great we're doing since we always pride ourselves in being the facking best at everything.  France is #1 in health care.  Perhaps we can buy a clue...When you have people of the middleclass that are one surgery aways from being bankrupt. this is a problem...

FUCK YOU ALL and I HOPE YOU CHOKE ON BLACK COCKS, GO TO THE HOSPITAL AND THEY BANKRUPT YOU FROM THE JIZZ THE MUST PUMP FROM YOUR GUTS...

Hiding behind?  Never understood that.  How do you hide behind a right?  If it's there and you can use it, that's what it's there for. So if i don't use it does that make it more honorable? ::)

People like me?  You mean people that have served 10+ years in the military, with plenty of desert and overseas time?  College educated?  tax payer?  Those kinds of people like me?

This should be on the front page of every newspaper in America-in large, bold letters. This was a letter to the editor August 29th in a Jackson, MS newspaper.

Dear sirs:

During my last night's shift in the ER, I had the pleasure of evaluating a patient with a shiny new gold tooth, multiple, elaborate tattoos, a very expensive brand of tennis shoes and a new cellular telephone equipped with her favorite R&B tune for a ringtone.

Glancing over the chart, one could not help noticing her payer status:

Medicaid.

She smoke more than one costly pack of cigarettes every day, and, somehow, still has money left over to buy beer.

And our Congress expects me to pay for this woman's health care.

Our nation's health care crisis is not a shortage of quality hospitals, doctors or nurses.

It is a crisis of culture.

A culture in which it is perfectly acceptable to spend money on vices while refusing to take care of one's self or, heaven forbid, purchase health insurance.

A culture that thinks, "I can do whatever I want to because someone else will always take care of me."

Life is really not that hard. Most os us reap what we sow. Don't you agree?

Dr. Starner Jones, MD
Jackson, MS

this unfortunately is the american way. someone has to pay down the line the saps who pay their taxes regularly and on time.

health care is not a right, where'd you get that fucking idea?  seriously, i want to know why you think it's a fucking right.  in america, you don't even get a right to fucking live (death penalty), much less a right to a doctor.  grow up.

and yes, that 6% is bringing the country down, seeing as how they're 80% of the prison population.

if the french healthcare is so good, how come the entire world's royalty comes to America to get cured?

Besides, if the quality is of american healthcare is 1 or 300, in no way should it be mandatory for all of us to pay so the few can abuse it.

The real question is why is it not?

Next question would then be "What kind?" The absolute best, or something less stellar, like Medicare/Medicaid?

Aren't we sorta already covering that "right"?

It cost money cause we make it cost money.  And things have value cause we put a price on it.
How about you go read why France is rnked #1 in the WORLD in health care and read about similar traits of the top 5-10.

Thanks for correcting me, but it doesn't excuse the fact that started a thread based upon a email that was from a ficticious person. It shows that you can goaded into making rash decisions w/o checking out the facts first. That right there is what a buffoon does.
Should we punish those who do not take care of their health? No health care for them. Or only minorities that resemble the caricature in the ficticious email.

Providing basic health care is the responsibility of a good society.

This doesn't mean we pay for your ER visit if you're indigent and have a runny nose, but we *do* pick up the tab if you present with signs of typhoid fever, yet have no ability to pay.

When public health is at risk, it goes without saying that no cost is too great to protect it.  Now, I'm not saying that we should allow the government to spend freely without accountability, but we have a collective responsibility to keep ourselves safe, which allows us to remain healthy, happy, and productive.

Exactly and cleary, currently we run an über capitalist society.
I've always asked this and have never received a coherent answer...

Me: The idea of free healthcare is wonderful but who will pay for it?

Moron: It would be great but other countries have tried and it and have failed so it's not possible...

Me:  Wow, so we're not even going to try it?  That's just it?

Moron: When you put it on the freemarket it makes it more competitive and the best people win and the losers fall off...

Me: What happens when there is an Oligopoly and the few rape everyone?

Moron: Well that doesn't happen and if it does you have the laws and fines blah.........

This is one reason why it should be a right...I've heard every excuse and know what the right wingers will say before they think it when it comes to healthcare...Profiting from people's health or lack thereof is disgusting.  You have no good reason as to not at LEAST offering a government subsidized option.  If peopleare ran out of business, then perhaps they should rethink their business plan or quit...I could go on making you look like an nimcumpoot if you want.

The profit these insurance and drug companies make is sickening...You introduce anything that tries to keep them from that and they go haywire.  You have mindless drones that repeat everything they hears from Hannity, Rush and Beck without thinking for themselves fighting their fight to pad someone elses pockets...You gotta love it.

How are we not doing this already? No one is refused basic emergency care because they can't pay. In fact, the poorer you are, the better you're gonna make out billwise.

Agreed, but the problem with our society, is that it is inherently unhealthy. As a matter of fact several industries survive off of our unhealthiness. Without it, there would be no Fast food chains, no junkfood, fewer people would get sick, overweight, or have cavities due to diet or meth. Then there is the tobacco industry, without a loyal customer base, where would they be, and where would the doctors be who treat the cancers. Then there is the plastics surgeons, who try and give a quick fix to clients who are mostly women, and have self esteem issues.

Everybody is making a buck off of our unhealthiness, yet people complain about us paying for those people, why don't we truly fix the problem so that we don't need to go to the doctor so much.

Some capitalism is good.  The direction conservatives want it is bad.
