There's a difference b/w fighting in another weight class and winning in another weight class.  BJ got worked over pretty hard at 170, and other higher weight classes he's fought in.  There's a diff. b/w stupidity and bravery, but I'm sure he's learned from his mistakes.  Then again, he is saying he wants another shot at GSP :-\

Worked over?  His only losses were to GSP (split decision, first fight, I think he won), Hughes (ref stoppage after the injury in a fight he was dominating prior) and the last GSP fight wherein GSP mauled him.  Prior to that, his other forray into WW was him beating Hughes for the belt.  His only other loss at a higher weight class was to Lyoto at heavy.  He beat Bang at 170, Rodrigo and Renzo at 185.  Lets not forget how he totally dismantled Takanori Gomi when Gomi was on a tear in Bushido.

Really what fights were you watching.  GSP kicked his ass I admit in that last fight.  But, other than that nobody has really hurt him.  Didn't he go the distance with Machido.  ANd you are right about the difference between stupidity and bravery.  Thank you for proving that.  I still wish GSP would drop weight and fight at 155.  As good as everyone says he is he should be able to do that no problem and beat the shit out of BJ. ::) ::)  Or least go up a weight class for some challenges.  Is he afraid?  I mean how long is he going to milk it in his weight class.  Why doens't he want to challenge himself.

GSP drop to 155...oh brother ::)  You do realize that he walks around at 185 with very little body fat right?  For him to drop 30 pounds, he would have to lose 15-20 lbs of muscle.  BJ on the other hand is still pudgy at 155.  He's got a lot more body fat to play around with.

I think he's 4-4 outside lightweight, losing as much as he's winning.  Wins coming against mostly MMA non-contenders; losses coming against top competition.  I guess it all depends on a person's interpretation of success.

Here are his victories.

1.  Bang Ludwig
2.  Takanori Gomi (you know, the guy who ruled Pride Bushido)
3.  Rodrigo Gracie
4.  Renzo Gracie
5.  Matt Hughes (he won the belt, and numerically should be first, but I leave him here because this was when Hughes was unbeatable at WW)

Not a bad list.

Here are his losses.

1.  GSP (Split decision)
2.  Hughes (He was winning prior to the third)
3.  Machida (who outweighed him by 35 lbs)
4.  GSP (He was overwhelmed by the superior athlete)
