UFC 107 post fight discussion

Frank Mir Vs kongo
I was expecting Mir to submit kongo at some point but the fight was over pretty quick.Nice knockdown by Mir. Wasn't expecting to see that. Once Frank got a hold of Kongo it was lights out. Would be interesting to see him against a healed Nog.

Guida Vs Florian
Went pretty much as i expected. Guida is a tough mofo workhorse but thats about it.

Penn vs Sanchez
I thought the match would be over once BJ landed that shot and sanchez went down. Props to the dude for weathering that storm.  BJ had good cardio this time around and managed to give Sanchez one of the nastiest cuts since Eastman vs belfort

Mir's punch was a classic example of a "lucky" shot, he was looking down when he threw that punch, just happened to knock The Coachs "client" on his ass.

Mir did look quite a bit larger for this fight.......wonder what his cycle was?

Lucky shot?  He had his chin down, eyes up.  Kongo's hands were low to defend the shot, and Mir clipped him on the button.

lucky shot my ass.... he even stated they studied congo's boxing style and that was the punch he was told to throw "duck his head down adn to the right and follow with teh left" lol

It was a perfectly planned fake take down followed by a perfectly timed overhand.  He knew that Congo was going to be worried about the take down, so he faked, forced Congo to bring his hands down to his waist and delivered the power shot.  Brilliant.
