Just reading Wiki (obviously the cornerstone of truth) and was it really his brother or half-brother?

Schwarzenegger was born in Thal, Austria, a small village bordering the Styrian capital Graz, and was christened Arnold Alois Schwarzenegger.[5] His parents were the local police chief Gustav Schwarzenegger (1907 – 1972), and his wife, Aurelia Jadrny (1922 – 1998). They were married on October 20, 1945 – Gustav was 38, and Aurelia was a 23-year-old widow with a son named Meinhard.

Easy, just have a father with a FAVORITE son, everything he does its super great in his eyes while everything u do its not enough....very common.

As Arnold did better, Meinhart did worse... Ending up a drunk and dying in a car accident. Arnold ended up raising Meinhart's son.

My knowledge is this...

Meinhard passed away in 1971 from a drunk driving accident. His drinking lead to his jealous towards Arnold which is ironic since Arnold was jealous of him. Anyway, it is said that if you really wanna know what Meinhard looked liked during the later years just look at his son Patrick (lawyer in L.A.) - he is a spitting image.

as a kid
our neighbor was a dentist who heavily favored the older of his two sons
the older one became a dentist like his father
the younger one became an MD/PhD who lectures at ivy league universities and was published while still in school
does not talk to his dad

arnold had many demons, very very important too have those to drive you in life and keep you hungry to succeed. everyone on the top of the pyramid is a child of some kind of demons

Yup - Meinhard was the goldenboy. I think that may have been a factor in Arnolds incredible drive to make something of himself and distinguish himself from his brother.
