I have a dream....

that one day blacks (negroes, african americans, coloreds...personally, i don't need a new PC name to know who I am) will WAKE UP and realize that  Democrats have NO INTEREST WHATSOEVER specific to our race.  They're only interested in our vote.  WTFU people!  It would also be nice if people would do their research and understand that it was the DEMOCRATIC PARTY who fought to KEEP segregation.   

The media and the arts have done an amazing job of influencing people otherwise.

msnbc was very tough on reid actually.  they said he's losing his seat no matter what, and repubs actually WANT him to keep the seat.  He's 5 to 15 points behind everyone - even fringe candidates - and this was BEFORE the slur.

mathews' hardball guests today were saying he should regisn leadership psot and possibly his job altogether.  He's gonna lose it in 10 months anyway.

Inability to speak proper English, even flawed understanding of rudimentary grammatics, is an instant road block for many young blacks trying to build a career.
And somehow, blacks are expected to speak wild and colorful. Perhaps if the president doesn't that will set the tone.

I can speak with a southern draw but when Im working or in a professional atmosphere I am careful of how I pronounce words and my mannerisms...is it asking to much for others to do the same?

Many people do all sorts of things to limit their opportunities.  It's not specific to race.  I've worked closely with human resources over the years.  It's amazing how many people show up to interviews in jeans these days.  You would not believe it.

im not saying it is but to deny that this is a problem in the AA sub culture is being ignorant. Certainly man I went to a couple of Job fairs a while back and LOL the way some of these ppl dressed was just hilarious.
