All those you whine about his skinny legs..feel free to post pics of your own legs that surely blow Arnold's away.

Hey let me contact that one aussie guy from bodybuilding.com who had those kind of legs.  :D

He has never posted a single pic though.  :D

IT has been found that, those who criticize arnie for lack , of leg size , usually belong to the , H.I.T. -ARTHUR JONES camp ; they usually assume , arnie had 19 inch arms , so his legs were small , something arthur jones called indirect effect ....; mike mentzer, sergio , were always said to have better, bigger legs than arnie ....

many believe only H.I.T.  - TRAINING CAN ORLY BUILD HUGE LEGS ...

so they assume, arnie, with his high volume training, could not build huge, legs....!!

something that has come, down from arthur jones, bulletin ...

Throw a stone into a pool of water, and it will make a splash – and a wave will run to the far end of the pool; the
larger the stone, the larger the splash – and the larger the wave. A very similar effect results from any form of
exercise – I have named this "indirect effect". When one muscle grows in response to exercise, the entire
muscular structure of the body grows to a lesser degree – even muscles that are not being exercised at all;

Until quite recently, this effect was most pronounced as a result of the practice of full squats. It has been
repeatedly demonstrated that the practice of squats – as a single exercise – will induce large-scale muscular
growth throughout the body; and while nobody yet understands why this happens, there is no slightest doubt
that it does happen.

While such an individual might have 13 inch upper arms at the start
of such a training program, it is almost impossible for his arms to stay that small; by the end of the program, his
arms would probably be at least 15 inches. And in almost all cases, the bulk of this arm-size increase will be in
the form of muscular fiber – rather than fatty tissue; the strength of the arms will increase in proportion (but not
in direct proportion) to the size increase – in spite of the fact that no exercise is employed for the arms at all

it is difficult to build the size of the arms beyond a certain point, unless the large muscles
of the legs are also being exercised.

BUT THESE ARNIE BIG, HUGE LEGS, WILL TELL U THE TRUTH ...
HIGH VOLUME WORKS , SINCE ARNIE PROVES IT.... !

::) I don't understand why a thread about Arnold's genetically weak legs( in comparison to his upperbody) has all of a sudden turned into a HIT vs high volume training thread.
Again, Arnold's legs were somewhat weak mostly because of his genetics, it has little to do with: "he did volume not HIT" thing.

Now, as far as training, what matters most is high intensity. I mean train as hard as possible, with maximum intensity. Volume can be adjusted according to the individual.
That's why Arnold was able to build great legs despite having them genetically weak, because he trained them with a lot of intensity.
Would Arnold's legs and overall whole body gotten even better, had he tried lowering his training volume and increasing his intensity?
It is a possibility I say, just look at what happened to Sergio Oliva when he was trained by Arthur Jones and did just that. He got into his biggest and best ever.

So, trying to "use" Arnold's legs as a prove of whether HIT or high volume work or not is a little silly. Too many variables come into play.
