coleman looked good in those backstage non contest shots.

but so does everyone compared to how they look onstage..

its always the same: they look great in the gym, but not like that on contest day.

why? lighting, contest dieting doesn't go exactly right etc.

as you can see from the onstage pics, ronnie 99 was WAY better than ronnie 97

and thats why he jumped up so much.

Pics with Dianna Dennis were from BFTO which was at Ronnie's home about 2 weeks before the comp.

Ronnie was very good that year he was holding a bit of water though. 98 built a bit of muscle and dropped his weight down and looked as big as Nasser but 30 pounds lighter.

I knew it was right around the Olympia , you're right about him holding water the day of the contests they mention this in the magazines he was a tad heavier than the previous year ( 255 pounds ) and holding more water which is why his placing slipped from 6th in 96 to 9th

He looks awesome in the BFTO pics he looked fantastic in 1996 as well

because ND insists on holding onto crazy ideas about ronnie pre 98, look at this one pic:



He is getting destroyed by cormier everywhere but arms.  Ronnie had a completely different look and size by 98, and was kicking cormiers ass.  yes, ronnie always had great shape, but he was not big enough nor conditioned enough to do damage until 98.  If you can't recognize that... i don't really know what else to do.  Just look at ronnie's legs.  they look tiny compared to 98/99

Ronnie looked great in 1996 and 1997 but he certainly improved mostly in conditioning in 1998 ( key word moron 1998 )

He wasn't just as good as 1998 but he wasn't far off as you like to claim it doesn't matter anyway where did he improve the most? conditioning and butch-tits
