Guys - I have been away for a few days but wanted to share this. I got the below emails from the instructers at the school I take self defense.
Gerald Celente trains under the main instructer and I know Gary Abatelli well. I actually trained with him last week.

TWO OF OUR BLACK BELTS, GARY ABATELLI AND GERALD CELENTE ARE TRAPPED IN SANTIAGO CHILE,
300 miles from the epicenter of the 8.8 earthquake that struck the nation.
If anyone has any contacts in the area or any ideas that could be of assistance getting
them out, please email ghostfist@gmail.com
Here are portions of the email they were able to get out to us:
"...We both woke up hearing dogs barking at 3:30-am, then were thrown violently out of bed , lamps, tv, plaster and everything else crashing to the floor. We were on the 14th floor when the earth turned into water...putting our pants and shoes on while running down the hall, down a swaying staircase...glass and cement crashing to the streets. While waiting for the countless tremors to end, the next problem was groups of 10 to 20 teenagers running at full speed, robbing hotel guests on the street...street lights were out and not a police officer in sight... Our training over the years kept us both alert and in control of the adrenaline racing through our veins...All airports closed, state of emergency, no sleep, more to follow..."

And then I got this two days letter.

THANKS TO THE ADVICE OF ONE OF OUR MEMBERS,
OUR TWO BLACK BELTS, GARY ABATELLI AND GERALD CELENTE
FINALLY MADE THEIR WAY SAFELY OUT OF EARTHQUAKE-RAVAGED CHILE TO MENDOZA ARGENTINA.
We were greatly relieved to learn they are OK. Here are portions of their latest email:
"...Hey John, Gerry and I just pulled into Mendoza Argentina, what a
beautiful sight. We found a driver to take us here, $600 and nine
hours of driving through the amazing Andes mountains, boy are we glad
to get out of Chile. It's so nice to see glass and cement in the
shape of a building. Now for a hot shower, food, a full night sleep,
then off to Buenos Aries in the morning...extra special thanks to you
for making it happen. How fortunate we are to be part of such a
caring group. We both had an experience we will never forget, and
hope never to repeat...Once again, thanks for being
there, Gary..."
