This has allowed President Bush to extend the use of TARP funds to support the auto industry, a move supported by the United Auto Workers.

You are being too simplistic here regarding the disposal of food. Maybe this was due to a bad crop season. Maybe it was due to over supply like you said. But why don't you look up the bankrypcy rate for farmers in this country the last 15 years? Not exactly in proportion is it..

At the time this story was in the news the Bush Admin was working on making sure this country was safe from terrorism. Now I don't agree with the face value of this statement, but you don't have a constitution when you don't have security. And in this context, Bush needed to aliegn with the right people who will do what it takes to keep this country safe.

This was in regards to wire taping Mons. So, this same wire taping that you liberals hate, also saved the brooklyn Bridge and subway tunnels from being destroyed AFTER 911 happened. What Bush was saying here was I need to do what I need to to protect htis country and you are throwing the constitution in my face as a roadblock.
