very sad.  I thought of my wife and my kids when thinking of the countless thousands who have had the walmart's of the world do the same thing to them.  What if that was my kid asking to cut a hole in the wall to see mom.  And then after it was done, someone cashed in on my wife's death, my child's mother?....

you got that right, if I found out about something like this, I would want to go balistic, but I wouldn't... I would keep calm because I would have my baby to look after and she is who I owe my greatest duty to.  Lucky for the corporation; I guess that would be so with the vast majority in the same situation and sadly, luckily, for the corporation assholes that people would have hunted down otherwise...

This is the part of CAPITALISM no one wants to believe exists and they certainly don't want to accept that they are just a dollar sign in the eye(s) of a company/employer/business. In this case Walmart effectively got back all of the money and more that it paid to this employee in the form of salary and possible benefits. The same is done at other companies for the same reason...for the company to get back all of the money it paid out in salary, benefits, pensions etc etc etc.... CRUEL SYSTEM..

I don't doubt most of the story.  I was referring to the part about the company not paying for the medical and funeral expenses after being notified about the family having financial problems.  Horrible judgment.
