I just got back from housesitting a few hours ago. It was the best few days Ive had in a long time.
The house I stayed at was soooo nice.
The bed I slept in was a large king size and I think the matress was one of those fancy ones where they balance the wine glass on it in the commercials. The pillows((yes plural, there were 4 pillows on it) took some time to get used to them, and I wished I had brought my pillow to use instead. The sheets were very soft and comforting, and the quilt was great. It was very thick and soft. I worried about getting my pimple creme on it overnight from my face, but I used a smaller amount because my face was clear. There was a bathroom connected to the bedroom and it was sooo nice. It was very large, had a large whirlpool tub in it, the toilet only would run for a few secs after it was flushed, and the counter top was large at the sink. The shower was incredible. It was gigantic and seemed like it was the size of my kitchen. It was glass doors all around so I could see myself in the sink mirrors across from it.It didnt even leak on the floor no matter where the shower head was. The shower had all these nice carved tiles in it. It was like out of a mtv cribs episode.
Sleeping was so great. I got to go to bed real early each night, and I never got woken up. No noisy neighbors...no loud music...no weird noises...no noisy cars outside.
I was lucky the power did not go out during the storm. i got to order pizza delivery on Sat and I got to put the pizza box up on the coffee table as i watched tv...lol the last time i had a coffee table was ...NEVER
i even got to put my keys on the dining room table...for some reason it just felt cool to do that...on monday night i ate dinner at the dining room table...very very cool...im so used to eating either in my car, bed, or on my sofa.
i get to go back tuesday to housesit and i cant wait.
When i got back home today iw as pissed off...water bottles on the floor...my damn toilet runs all the time...the neighbors are still loud and i can hear the tv through the walls...too much dust, and i hate being in my tiny little shower

Next time I do you a favor clean up after yourself >:(

There are probably pets that have to be watched.

Someone asked me to watch their cat.  After 6 hours I called them and asked why.  It isn't doing anything.

Not sure what this has to do with bodybuilding gossip, but let this be a lesson for all you kids on this board.  This is why you work hard, get an education, and build a professional life for yourself: so you can enjoy the fruits of judicious labor.

And yes, a king size bed with fine linen is a wonderful luxury, one I do not take for granted.  Having grown used to it, I will sleep on nothing less.  Even in hotels I insist on a king sized bed.  8)

Gene, you have a strangely interesting writing style and seem to be by all accounts a nice young man.(I'm assuming you're younger) Perhaps you could develop you're writing to the point that one day you can have your own nice place to call home. Good luck!

Gene,

There are a few "codes of conduct" when house-sitting.  First and foremost - leave the home in the same or better condition than when you arrived.  That means no smelly garbage left behind, no dirty dishes in the sink or dishwasher, no dirty towels, no water spots on the mirror, no toothpaste in the sink, no pubes or yellow spots on the toilet and absolutely no sleeping in the homeowners bed.  If they don't have a guest room, bring your own clean sheet and use the couch.  Assuming you leave in the morning for work and they are returning that day (and slept in the guest room), strip the bed and leave the linens in the laundry room.  Or, if they are not returning until later in the evening, then wash those linens, neatly fold them and leave them on the bed.   Little evidence you were there should be left behind.

Oh, and if that's an uncovered wood dining room table, don't put your keys on it.  ;)

I said, I hit Maui in Feb. of 09.  And, yes, Maui is my favorite island as well... though we are talking shades of grey here aren't we?  All the islands are beautiful. 8)
