http://kevincolby.com/2009/01/06/tax-cuts-for-people-who-dont-pay-income-tax/
Barack Obama wants a stimulus plan that  may include $300 billion worth of tax cuts.  But who are the tax cuts really for?  During his Presidential campaign Obama promised a tax cut to 95% of working families.  But the question is how you deliver tax cuts to people who don’t pay income taxes? Almost half of the 95% of Americans that Obama was talking about don’t even pay income taxes.  Obama’s goon squad (his voters) have cried out and said that they pay Social Security taxes and Medicare taxes. But wait a minute! I thought that money that goes to Social Security wasn’t a tax, it’s a contribution! What does it say on your paycheck? FICA? That’s “Federal Insurance Contribution Act.”  This is really an insurance premium, not a tax, so what’s really happening here is that Obama wants to give those more likely to vote for him a free ride for their Social Security.  Which turns Social Security and Medicare into a welfare program.

Obama’s “tax cut” is really a “welfare check.” A government handout. Your money seized from you and given to someone who didn’t earn it … or your children and grandchildren hit with a debt they’ll have to repay late

Now his stimulus package will include a tax credit/welfare check of $500 per individual or $1,000 per family (whether or not you actually pay taxes), which would “eliminate taxes for about 10 million low-income workers and offer relief to those who pay no taxes at all,” this according to The Politico.   Offering relief? What they really meant was “redistributing the wealth.” The package will also include tax breaks for businesses, a one-year tax credit for new hires and a write-off for new investments.

You want free health care for the world's richest 10-20% of people while ignoring billions of people who live on under $2 per day.  Sounds pretty elitist to me.
have you asked me what my views are on world politics? have i said that that ^ is what i would have?

its not necessary to have multiple governments.

Dude...what is this obsession of yours with "communism"...it seems that everybody who disagrees with your point of view you automatically label as "communist". Have you ever been into a communist country before? I'm trying to understand where you "fear" of it comes from , or is it just the non stop talk from Doughboy and Beck that make u fear it so bad? And please don't misinterpret my question.. I'm dead serious here.... ???

Danny, this has nothing to do with Beck, Hannity, Rush, etc. But what they did do was put it out there that Obama is/was basically a student of Saul Alinski and if you read it, Obama drew praise from Alinski's son. Now, I'm not saying all libs are communist, socialist yes, but where Obama wants to take this country is definitely down the path of communism. I know you said you fled communism and I respect you for that, that being said you, if anyone on here should what he attempting to do. He is literally forcing a government take over of anything that comes into his little pea brain.

pea brain lol, the guy won the election against all the Republicans.  If he is a pea brain, what size are the Republican brains?  Dude is smart as hell, you have to give him that.  People said health care reform was dead, and a few months later President Obama has it passed.  Brilliant man and great for this country, Obama4Life.

Joe.... when you make a statement like that you're completely throwing out the window all of your arguments. You guys have absolutely no idea what that means...you have no idea how a communist country was/is structured and what it actually means to live in a society so restrictive. The tactics of fear mongering that Rush and Fox news are using all the time are pretty similar to what former communist governments used to do in the Eastern bloc. Of course they actually made good on their promises  and killed countless numbers of people who opposed them or went after their families which is worse, but if you ask me this fear that a certain wing of the republican party is advocating and putting in your lives is no different then what those motherfuckers did in all those countries, at least from a psychological aspect.

It's a problem that afflicts both sides, and you're certainly part of it.  Obama isn't a savior, nor are the Republicans.  Our Govt is failing on virtually every level right now.

Both Obama *and* Cheney are communists...just like Clinton and Bush before them.

The GOP and Dem leadership seek to increase the size and scope of the federal government every chance they get and are also charged with making sure that as much wealth and power as possible are concentrated at the time.

Just because you're allowed to own a little property or take a vacation doesn't mean that America is NOT being led by communist regimes that has perpetuated the American oligarchy.

dude, you have to admit, they weren't even given a chance to "cooperate".  they weren't asked for shit. by they , i mean the republicans.  the entire bill was drafted, redrafted, discussed, and passed without a single republican's input.

Well, for about 6 months, the Republicans have been nothing but saying "No" at everything.

If I'm the Dems, I'd do what I wanted too. It's what they were voted in to do last year right?

That's an interesting way to put it.... and I agree, however, again, Obama made it very clear he was going to push for Universal Healthcare and yet he was still voted in.

So I'd have to say that the will of the people isn't infringed at all.

Like I've said before... many things have been done in congress that were in the best interest of the people, even if not necessarily the "will of the people" at the time.

I think many people would support an overhaul to the healthcare industry, but his version is not what most had in mind.  Not to mention, of course he gave very few details on the plan he was purporting to tout during the elections....and wasn't it a "single payer" proposal back then?  I just find it ironic that both sides will stomp on the "will of the people" when it fits their agenda.  But when it doesn't fit, they scream about taking away the power of the people.

You did not download the final bill. It is not a defined law, as yet. As Pelosi said, we won't know whats in the bill until we sign it. Americans love to be fooled and encourage fraud from political leaders it seems. Bending over and grabbing the ankles, and begging "Please sir, may I have more", is the  American way now days. The damage this present White House is doing will take decades to repair. Time for the evil children to be booted out and replaced by grownup in the White House. Impeachment anyone?
