He's "freaky" and I like freaks as much as the next guy, but I think Branch peaked a while ago. His lines are nowhere near as good as they used to be. See the pix in this thread http://www.getbig.com/boards/index.php?topic=150704.0

Grainyness only goes so far. At 5'6" you can only add so much muscle before you've maxed out your physique; I think Branch has done that. His waist has also gotten a lot bigger over the years and that doesn't look. $:-\$

He's got 'the wow factor' in spades, but I wouldn't give his physique any more trophies.

im a steroid user and all so im not hating, but HONESTLY....you gotta wonder what his blood pressure must be. i would be willing to bet that if you put a sensitive enough microphone next to his lower back you might actually be able to hear his kidneys weeping.

I like the "grainy" look as much as the next guy, but his physique is just becoming ugly - it just looks like a mass of bodyparts all thrown together. The quad size and shape is excellent but he doesn't really have anything else that I would want if I could have that sort of physique. Steroids are wrecking him.

never know though, maybe with his resources, he knows the right doctors to put him on the right kind of statins and BP meds. even though he takes probably alot more, he might just be safer then the average user

But seriously, the guy is 5'6". If he were not on steroids would anyone in the world even notice him at 130lbs?

#1 it not the steroids that are wrecking him (physique wise) its the peptides

#2 what weird is he totally changed his structure over the years, if you look at his pics when he was competing as a young man....he was actually pretty aesthetic and proportioned

Bay is right. These short guys just don't get it. You can only put so much mass on your frame before you look like a complete ball of shit. Why don't they just lower the dosage, bring their waists in, and compete in 202? In time, the 202 division will be modestly lucrative in its own right.

the open is barley lucrative, save for 2 shows a year. all the other shows pay around 10 grand, which isnt far from what it takes to prepare for one of these shows

the 202 division, there is noooooooooo money there

Well, look at Kai, he is 5'7 or so and outmasses Phil, yet Phil is 5'9 is already maxing out his physique as it seems.

Nasser is 5'11 and IMO he looks much better before adding all that mass to his frame, he was looking like shit in his later years. Flex Wheeler is the same way. So the arguement of height in some ways can be throwned out of the equation. Bone structure/joints have more to do with it.

The only guys that come to my mind right now that can add mass and still look good whether height is concerned is Chris Cormier, Dillet, Freeman, Ronnie of course, etc..
