I work near Pinewood studios,Bucks, UK and saw that the Lenny Mclean movie is being filmed! Who could they have found to posssibly be as intimidating enough to play him!!?

Craig Fairbass was hand picked by Lenny to play him in a movie. Whether he is playing the part I don't know. Would prefer him as he can turn on the cockney rather well.

I'm 90% sure Shane Meadows would be directing as he tend to make all these grey English heartland movies. One day he will also do is Bartley Gorman's movie. I'll pay fucking £500 to see that.

yea Craig was originally up for the role, there doesnt seem to be any info anywhere about the film. On wikipedia it says Phil Colins and Ray Winstone were both interested in the role.
This film has taken years to get off the ground, hope it does the book justice.
The Bronson movie was nowhere near the excellence of his book.
