For me, I just realized that bulking and "bodybuilding" isn't what i'm into or want to do.

I'd rather be lean, strong, in great cardio shape, flexible, etc.

I want to be fit and healthy. Not just some bloated and bulked up piece of shit.

I'm probably gonna start lifting again soon. But my attitude toward it is changed.

Agreed with bbing.

TOday I dragged a sled and thursday I flipped a tractor tire and tomorrow I will do some chinups and pushups on the rings and climbing a rops. Much higher training economy then doing silly DB curls or leg extensions.

What drove you to this? A spritual path maybe being around the temple and monks?

This did play a part in it.

But the main is that I bulked up for 9 months. I gained a lot of strength and size, but my fitness level just went way down. Less flexibility, worse cardio conditioning, a soft and flabby look to my midsection. And most of all I just didn't FEEL healthy.

Also I just don't really care that much about getting big muscles. Sure it would be kinda cool to have huge muscles, but the sacrifices aren't worth it to me.

I've been getting back in shape for a past couple weeks and I feel great. Pretty soon i'll be a lean machine like Bruce Lee again.

What do you consider lean, bodyfat percentage wise. And on a side note, how's your boyfriend Stark? ;)

Shipp...serious post here.....this is a BBing site and the vast majority here are into training to put on muscle, not necessarily into BBing competition or the Pro scene....but we are serious trainers here for the most part.

What's the point of coming here every day and ragging on the very thing this site is all about? why are you even here, seriously ?

Well when I started coming back here a couple months ago I was in bodybuilding mode all the way.

Now i've kinda shifted out of that mode. But i'm still really into fitness and exercise. But i'm just shifting into being in shape on a more holistic level. And I am gonna start lifting weights again soon. I just love to lift.

Besides. Half the guys here don't even excercise at all. So it's not like this place is some elite bodybuilding scene.

I am not a bodybuilder then. But i'm definitely a weight lifter. I havn't lifted in about 2 weeks now and i'm itching for it. I might lift today and end the experiment early. I've got what I need out of it already.

I am a serious trainer and I exercise hard and seriously. But i'm just seeing beyond big muscles and going for the whle package. Strength, cardio, health, flexibility, speed, etc.

Ship, you really think that half the guys here don't train at all? I would say that the majority of them train. BTW, how's your bf Stark?

From what i've seen, a lot of the guys here lift totally inconsistently and are not disciplined at all. I'd guess about half the guys who post here are like that. Maybe they lift for a month, then get lazy for a month and cycle like that, never making progress.

GetBig has never really been a hardcore bodybuilding site. It's always just been a place where dudes come to talk shit and have some laughs. With a few bodybuilders and homos too.

Yesterday I took some dumbells up on the roof of my building and did a bunch of lifts and cross training type stuff.

Since I havn't lifted in about 2 weeks my muscles got an awesome pump. I'm back to lifting. Time to get into epic shape. Real conditioning. Beyond the level of a muscle pumping cum guzzler. A real atheletic specimen.

I've got enough muscle. I'm not obsessed with my looks like a fruitcake. I'm more into health and being fit.

Thanks for the gay suggestion though.

Actually, I was suggesting it so you in fact will look healthy. Instead of a bulimic fagboy

 I'm very healthy right now.

You don't know shit about health obviously. Health isn't all about flexing your bicep like a fag and getting the biggest peak.

Muscles actually have very little to do with health.

I can't quit lifting either, I like it too much.

I just quit "bodybuilding", but not lifting.

Find something else to concentrate on for awhile.

Then come back to it.

A rest never hurts.

I think that a better term for this healthy pursuit of ours is muscle-building, and not this gayss sounding "bodybuilding".

I prefer to call it "physique artistry". That's not gay.
