Where are all the Palin bashers?
« on: June 09, 2010, 07:20:44 AM »
Funny, but the anti-Palin crowd is silent today. It seems every candidate she got behind but one won yesterday.I thought she was toxic,I thought republiicans run from her.I thought she wielded no political clout.Once again ,Palin bitch slaps libs in the mouth.

Olbermann called her an idiot last week. How did his candidate in Arkansas do last night? The extreme lib with all the big union support? He got his f'n ass handed to him.

I wouldn't go that far. He lost to Blanche Lincoln, but it was neck-and-neck.

As for Olbermann, enough said. There's a reason, he continues to be O'Reilly's whipping boy.

no one has commented because it just happened last night and no one really cares about primaries (you can tell this by the dismal turnout)

btw - Dems love it when a teabagger is up against them.  A Republican candiidate can drift back toward the center in the general election but a TeaBagger candidate can only stay in crazy town.

Yeah right.  Keep telling yourself that.  Most of the country are not hard left communists/marxists/progressives whom you seem to be so smitten with.

Rand Paul is going to win in KY, the woman is going to destroy Reid in NV, etc.

Funny, but if Palins candidates had lost,240 and his ilk would have been on here at 4am posting she is a loser. So,sorry, your argument really holds no water at all.

As far as turnout,it was dismal for democrats, but in many places this midterm had a much higher turnout then normal for republicans.

If your idea of the ceneter is where Harry Reid,Obama and Pelosi are,why dont democrat candidates run on Obamas agenda.Heere is a bet.NOT ONE democrat in ANY swing state will run on even one agenda item Obama supports.Because Obama is as far from the center as is David Duke.He now has been exposed and the country knows it.

Andy Stern, A Member of Obama’s Fiscal Responsibility Commission, Says ‘Worshipping the Market’ Has Failed America
Tuesday, June 08, 2010
www.cnsnews.com

By Penny Starr, Senior Staff Writer

________________________ ________________________ ___

Andy Stern, former head of Services Employees International Union (SEIU) and a President Barack Obama appointee to the National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform, said on Monday that the free market has failed the country and American workers. He made his remarks at a conference of the Campaign for America's Future in Washington, D.C., on Monday. (CNSNews.com/Penny Starr) (CNSNews.com) – Andy Stern, the former head of the Service Employees International Union who now sits on President Obama's National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform, said the United States needs an economic plan that does not include “worshipping” the free market.

“America needs a 21st century economic plan because we now know the market-worshipping, privatizing, de-regulating, dehumanizing American financial plan has failed and should never be revived, worshipping the market again,” Stern said in remarks at the annual conference of the liberal activist group Campaign for America’s Future in Washington on Monday.

“It has failed America and everyone that works here,” Stern said.

Stern said the changes that Obama and Democrats in Congress have made are nothing short of a “revolution” that will move the American economy from national to international.

"This not our father’s or our grandfather’s economy," Stern said. "We’re as far today from the New Deal as the New Deal was from the Civil War. And we cannot drive into the future looking in the rear view mirror."

He said the progressive movement must build on the past and look to the future as the economy is transformed "from a manufacturing base, to a service, finance, knowledge, green, Internet, and bio-science economy."

“This revolution’s going to only take 30 years,” Stern said. “No single generation of people have ever witnessed this much change in a single lifetime.

“American people sense the change,” Stern said. “They know something is different.

“And they, like us, I think, are in search of a new pathway forward,” Stern said. “And as we’ve witnessed now in the absence of a simple and realistic way forward, people – even us – sometimes resist the future or try to turn back the clock to days that are now long gone.

Arianna Huffington, editor-in-chief of The Huffington Post Web site, said at the conference that her organization is encouraging Americans to 'shrink big banks' by withdrawing their money from them. (CNSNews.com/Penny Starr)Joining Stern on a panel that opened the conference was Arianna Huffington, editor-in-chief of The Huffington Post Web site, who called for people to “shrink the big banks” by withdrawing their money; and Phaedra Ellis-Lamkins, CEO of the "social justice" environmental activist group Green for All.

Ellis-Lamkins told the crowd how she responded to conservative media personality Glenn Beck’s charge that groups like Green for All have an agenda to change the country’s direction.

“I said, ‘Absolutely we have a plot to take over this country,” Ellis-Lamkins said.

Phaedra Ellis-Lamkins also spoke at the conference about creating a better future for her family members and other disadvantaged Americans by giving them access to 'green' energy technology and jobs. She is the CEO of Green for All, an environmental social justice advocacy group. (CNSNews.com/Penny Starr)The Campaign for America’s Future describes itself as “the strategy center for the progressive movement.”

“Our goal is to forge the enduring progressive majority needed to realize the America of shared prosperity and equal opportunity that our country was meant to be,” the group’s Web site states.

The organization’s board includes President Eli Pariser of Moveon.org and Hilary Shelton, director of the NAACP Washington Bureau.

Sponsors and partners for this year’s “America’s Future Now” conference include the National Education Foundation (NEA) and the AFL-CIO.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) is scheduled to speak at the conference on Tuesday and Rep. Alan Grayson (D-Fla.) on Wednesday

I've said many times that I'm no fan of Pelosi or Reid but the fact is in a general election that most candidates move toward the center (hedge their positions to try to have the broadest appeal).

Teabag candidates can't move toward the center so they are stuck way out their on the far right and that's not a good place to be in a general election

btw - I can nothing about Palin and have no clue who she "endorsed"
Only people who can't think for themselves even care about endoresements

That's funny because when Buffet endorsed Obama, all the lefties were running around using that as a reason to vote for him saying if Buffet endorsed him, than he had to be good.

The % of the nation that finds the tea party repulsive as increased as well.
They got stomped in VA.

The rest of the primaries don't mean shit until the actual voting is done for election.

Finally you're starting to give us some details on the secret Commie conspiracy

Reid and Pelosi were around long before anyone heard of Obama

Were they already Commies or did Obama "turn them" sometime recently?

What's the plan for taking over the Govt.

Don't you think they'll need to ramp it up in a big way pretty soon, given the fact that both Reid and Pelosi could lose in re-election
