you feel an affinity for 150 pound 'cage warriors' who couldn't knock out my gramma?

how weak a shot do you have to have to hit a guy on the button repeatedly and not even knock him down?

lol.

Bellator has been great this year.... and its all free.  I have never seen a turn around in any fight like this.  How Warren made the bell is mind-boggling!  Soto was picking him off at will and laughing all the while. Warren need to work on his boxing ....but hats off to him!! Imagine if he wins the round robin!

Edit: Warren gets the Bantamweight belt from Soto, yes?

So Bellator wont be free for much longer? Thats too bad.  The fights have been wickedly good and its great to watch new names (or no-names?) come through.  Who are your 2 fighters?

Bellator will never succeed in PPV. Big mistake if they try it.

Your "gramma"? How about you? Why don't you do into any MMA gym and pick out any, any one at all, no matter how small, and see how long you last. If it's so easy and you can do so much better why don't you? Top fighters become millionaires now.

You have no idea. Not one iota of a clue what these guys can do to you. I witnessed Royler Gracie, at 135 pounds, beat the crap out of a 6'1" 250 pound muscle man thug who had beaten the shit out of one of his students who stood at 6 ft even and about 215 and was a White belt.

When I hear guys like you talk it is clear to me, and every single one here that has some experience, that you know nothing. Absolutely nothing about fighting. You're just like that McAnus guy that just talks.

You operate on the retarded premise that people who say that haven't had any formal fight training at all, ever. If you think really hard, until it hurts, then you'd realize this is patently incorrect.

In total? 10 years of judo, 2 of sambo. Not world class material by any means. But could I take someone literally half my size, even though they are technically far superior? Yes.

Judo? LOL! We're talking fighting. No disrespect to the sport but that's what it is -- a sport with a lot of rules and practically useless if you and you're opponent is not wearing a gi. As a blue belt in Jiu-Jitsu I easily tapped out Black Belts in Judo no gi. Easily.

Sambo guys are tougher in a fight. Maybe those two years did you some good.

Good comeback ... I'm trying to see things from your perspective mindspin
but still I don't see how this is a skilled sport or mixed martial arts as they call it
choice is an illusion

Just go three minutes with the average MMA trainee and you will quickly see how much skill is involved. I don't mean this in anyway as a threat or tough guy routine but it's really the only way some people will learn. That's what I liked about the Gracies when they came to the US to promote their art. After all the debate and back and forth they would just say, "Well, lets just fight and find out."

I saw a demonstration given by the 2nd Hapiko guy in this tape in California. To say he looked impressive would be an understatement. Super skilled and athletic. Of course he claimed that his art was the best. He stood no chance against an aging Rorion Gracie who had long retired from competitive fighting when he stepped up and said, "We'll see about that."

Really and truly me going around with a mma fighter is neither here nor there
at the end of the day... How do you know I wouldn't win.... Or prove my point
you don't know me so it's best not to even divert or personalise the topic

but to retort do you remember TANK ABBOTT  when he came to ufc at first he destroyed everyone all those mma so called skilled fighters do you remember that?

In my eyes boxing is a skilled sport it. 90% of mma fights I watch are like two men brawling and not even doing it well, I spend half the time laughing I actually sometimes watch it for pure entertainment value .. Not for the fighting "skill" put on display.

One thing I will concede though is I see skill when it's taken to the mat. Submissions holds etc that takes skill.
Aside from that

The same thing happened in Warren's last fight. Patricio Pitbull completely dominated him in first round to the point where Warren was saved by the bell. Then, Warren took over and won the next two rounds and the decision.

Did you see the women's fight between Aslyn Dailey and Lisa Ward? During round two, Dailey took Ward down and they stayed in a North/South position for like two minutes. About 30 seconds in, I was hoping they would forget about the fight and start eating each other out.

man  I haven't seen that footage in 20 years.  I had a promo tape they gave me (I lost it) that had this exhibition along with several others.  There was one that featured a local SO. Cal Karate instructor with a big mouth (i forget his name right now).  He kept holding onto the ropes so he couldn't be taken down.  He finally had to let go and got his ass kicked.  VIc LeRoux was his name (i just remembered)

Meso, boxing requires exceling in one skill...boxing.

MMA requires being competent in several martial arts including BJJ, boxing, wrestling, muay Thai, etc. and exceling in at lease one of those...usually BJJ or wrestling.

Today's MMA competitors are highly skilled and extemely well conditioned athletes.

But still not in the Olympics so its not a sport and they are not athletes, Only the NFL FOOTBALL can hold that pristine title of being a sport without being an olympic sport

I agree MMA requires being competent in several martials arts (and having good condition ) but you don't have to be highly skilled in any of them  to be competitive in MMA .
