Totally agree. Lincecum is on another planet, talent-wise. But I do hope that Strasburg fully recovers from Tommie John surgery. Get well, youngster!  :)

Hoping Lincecum, Cain, and Sanchez pitch lights out and eliminate Philly.  Unfortunately, SF's lineup is a big pile of crap.

Missing Cliff Lee in game one is big - it would be nice to see the Yankees capitalize on that.

They might, if only to try to annoy him.

Lee's a beast, and the Yankees want him terribly.  Cashman was even willing to part with Montero to get him for three months, which speaks volumes.  Montero is considered on once in a generation bat for NY, and put up sick numbers for a 20 year old in AAA.  Seattle fucked up by choosing Texas' offer instead.

from what i saw of montero small sampling in triple a , kids gonna be great, i was hoping the yanks were going to give him a sept. call-up but i guess even they didn't want to start the clock ticking yet.

That's part of the reason, but he also had minor surgery to remove an infection in his ankle.

Hopefully, they sign Lee in the offseason which makes them double winners by not losing Montero.  Unless, of course, Lee helps Texas defeat them.

Ridiculous victory.

Was not looking forward to Hughes on the mound with Lee looming next, and I've been a big Hughes fan since his minor league debut.

Texas has to feel good winning one and having Lee in their pocket..if the Texas bullpen doesn't implode i think it goes 7. Much respect to NY, love or hate them, they turn it on come October.

Was it because your moustache resembled Don Mattingly's, circa 1983?
