In most of the statistics I've read that show bite incidents per 100 dogs  King Poodles, German Shepherds and Labrador usually rank way up there in bite incidents whereas pitbulls and similar breeds are usually way down on the list.

I'd have to look for it, but you'd be surprised. Problem is any dog that even resembles an APBT is labeled as one regardless of it's actual breed, so in reality when you see bite statistics or even death statistics, they are skewed by labeling several breeds and even mixes as "pitbulls".

1) It's never the dogs fault if it attacks someone. 

2) Even when they are extremely dangerous when mistreated, I have never heard a doggy lover say "Hey, maybe we should somehow regulate these dogs in our society since they can be extremely dangerous in the wrong hands."

I agree with that. You could argue (no racist) that the same bias occurs about reports of a "black person" comitting an offence. Most black people are actually mixed, yet if such a "mixed person" does something bad it will usually be perceived and reported for statisitcal purposes as having been done by a "black person".
