how easy is it to get a good PT job
like where do they work and stuff
hospitals? gyms? where
PT jobs are out there, but the schooling is not easy.
I don’t know if it’s taken affect yet, but there was talk that ALL physical therapists would eventually be required to obtain their DPT
(Doctor of Physical Therapy) which would require more schooling and expense.
PT’s are common in the rehab department in hospitals.
In this environment, they usually treat patients following orthopedic surgeries.
There are also PT outpatient clinics that deal with post-op and a variety of other conditions such as injuries, etc.
There are some lucrative postions within many PACE programs.
The work is fairly easy and the pay and work conditions are very good with no weekend or shift work.
Becoming a PT is neither easy nor cheap.
Also, there aren’t many schools that offer PT programs, and such programs are very competitive to get into.
