Do any of you train after work?
« on: November 30, 2010, 12:11:27 PM »
Recently I got a new job and now train after work. i find that the strength is there as oppossed to when I trained before work but I suffer with energy lag much easier.

I used to train at 12pm and started work at 14:30. I got up at 10:30. Now I am up at 7:15 work until approx 16:45 and start training at 17:15

Does this get better over time? Do any of you guys feel the same?

It will.  Your body will adjust to the new schedule.  Might want some coffee in the afternoon, or even eat something so your energy is up at that time, as I assume you don't eat dinner before going.  I think you will like evenings better in the long run....I do.

Ive been a PM worker outer since the last 5 or 6 years... I only work out in the mornings on days off (holidays) or the weekends. The only thing that sucks about working out after work is if you go to the gym kinda late, you get a second wind of sorts and its kinda hard to fall asleep...other than that you should be getting accustomed to it in no time.

This "work" you speak of....

The graduate scheme for a Govt agency. Good scheme. Stairts off on a modest/reasonable wage and after 2 years increases very steadily. On completion of the trainee Management Scheme I am placed in a good position withing the Govt organisation of my choice.

haha yes I find the morning tiring when I get into work after 30mins I am generally fine and awake - I do not take caffine though these days. Before I train though I take a mass gain shake to keep me going. Approx 500-600cals. I am coming vack from an injury so am at least happy that I can train at all.

Glad to hear it gets better. I guess though if I get a day off and go to the gym mid afternoon after a lie in I will feel fresh as a daisy!

Bonus for after work training....girls in the morning don't usually look as good because they haven't done any morning repairs.they usually plan on going home after the gym and showering before work.

....after work they already have makeup on and are looking good :)

I'd rather my women  to look like they do naturally, I can only handle so much lies, need not start with a pound of makeup.

why don't you take up cardio?

I train very fast in my workouts. once I do my big 2 basic movements per day I pretty much bang out 25-30 sets in an hour as heavy as I can for reps. Quite tiring.

I actually ran a little the other day. cardio was not a huge issue. What did strike me was my legs felt tired due to my weight after. i had never felt this before. I will address it so I feel comfortable running at least a little

I read a study before that said despite your Test levels being higher in the morning it does not matter what time you lift as long as you are consistent in the time you train.

I go from 7pm to midnight. I tan, shave, shower, sauna, chat, flirt, gossip, massage, pedicure, manicure, wax, floss etc. I usually do some light swimming, yoga and stretching.... then reward myself with a blueberry muffin and a hot chocolate "because I'm worth it".

For Natural lifters who are not using anti estrogen drugs...

Don't jerk off too much or you'll get horrible gyno due to prolactin release.

Limit to twice per week at the most.

I just started trainin at nights after work not too long ago. It kinda sucks but i do nothing after work usually anyway so I feel better once I'm done. I used to train in the mornings very early before work and that just sucked getting up.
I just don't like how busy the gym is, full of retards at 7-8pm when I go.
