Saw him at the Olympia Expo in 2008 - he was at one of the booths eating chicken and rice. His size and especially width was incredible.

Brian Buchanan was wasp waist freak that was 210 pounds or so...with great legs, say about 225-230, maybe...he was not a muscle freak...he was the forerunner to Flex Wheeler.

Yeah but keep in mind that he competed in the late 80ies, if he was a copy of Flex the judges had a easy task LOL
I remember an Ironman article with a list of all weights at the '89 Olympia. Most guys were in the 210-240 zone so he wasn't an exception. Light or heavy, his upperbody looked phenomenal with that combo of small joints & round muscle bellies plus his charisma. Too bad his Olympia appearance has been removed from YT  :-\

hmm, let's see: Ruhl - several Top 5 Olympia and Top 3 Arnold placings. Stubbs - bunch of Tampa Top 15 and Dallas Top 20 placings.

I never said Ruhl wasn't good, nor talked about his placings that wasn't the issue, it was how wide he is..what he placed is a non issue...It's like compare Flex Wheeler and ruhl's placings...Flex placed higher and was better, but Ruhl was wider...

What I meant by not being the best, was in terms of Width...Audi has to constantly deal with Mercedes and BMW, the only thing they have is "interiors". They can't match Mercedes in luxury (width) or BMW in handling (Aesthrtics, athletic ability, etc)

but nobody is as wide as Ruhl....his clavicles are 18 inches apart and each delt is bigger than his head

Does anyone recall a small article in Flex back in 95 or 96 where Mike Mattarazzo and Flex Wheeler beat up some gay perv who was spying on them at home? Mike and flex apparently had a duplex. Mike lived downstairs and saw the gay guy peaking in his windows. He ran ouside to beat the guy down, but Flex got there first.. And he administered the beatdown.

Stubbs eats like a bodybuilder of the 70s-80s-early 90s. Chicken and rice. Where as todays bodybuilders eat like garbage. You can tell by the look of Stubbs that he eats clean. Where guys like Cutler are walking diabetics who live off peanut butter cup addiction binges, yet stay lean because of the massive amounts of drugs.
