God is perfect and has no evil in him. the idea of hell and eternal damnation is ludacris. Atheism is the perfect answer for a simple man with a simple mind. They want to use "science" as their basis but you may as well throw Atheism into the "Science Fact" column and religion into the "Science Fiction" column.

We all know that there are some assertions, which neither side can prove nor disprove.


I suppose even when you look at someone like Mike Mentzer, and you read all of his science and dogma, you realize too, that "objectivism" was best suited for him. Initially, one can reject Christianity but still consider it possible that a supernatural creator of the universe may exist, until the facts established by science are understood, then the only honest option is atheism.


I don't know where Mike and his brother were spiritually when they were actually on their deathbeds, but I do wonder at times.


I prefer Christianity, but I completely understand the logic behind Atheism when it comes to scrutinizing all of the seemingly obvious 'flaws'  in the Bible. Too many things that don't make sense, and then all of the "why are babies raped?" questions arise.


Atheism seems like a simple choice for someone who is only basing their beliefs on logic and not faith.

....it's called instinct of survival... a more evolued one compared to the one of animals, but with the same ultimate purpose. We exist to prevail , kill if needed, and to make alliances if we calculate it improves our chances of survival. We re all driven by interests.

cherry picking what exactly? the truth is open for all to see. the bible is written by man, and it was mans best attempt at putting truth and perfection into words, something that can not be done.  it may have been very accurate, but we do not know how the writers interpreted it and thus we dont know how to interpret it. some of it has wisdom, some of it is flawed because we dont understand the context in which it arouse. jesus was probably the son of god, cant be 100%% sure cuz i never met him, but for thousands of years people have been dying for his name, and that is proof enough for most.  records of his teachings reveal great wisdom. but i think the wisdom that was available to jesus is available to us as well. we can all be prophets if we ask god to show us the way of righteousness and use our minds to seek truth. but one must be careful about preaching because we all have different standpoints, weve all been shaped and misshaped by our experience, and thus we can get closer and closer to the truth, but we can never really be sure that we are on the money.
