I know this is very tough to grasp but the text that Christians refer to is the Bible. Therefore a Christian follows the teachings of the Bible. This is no diff than a Muslim or Jewish person would do for their religious text. You do realize this, correct?

I'm not sure what your point is..? Yes, christians refer to the bible. Then what? It's still an old relic with a bunch of fairy tales in it, and whatever historical correctness it might have had is long gone, filtered out by numerous manipulations and translations.

"Virgin" was most likely a mistranslation of "young girl". Jesus was almost certainly not crucified on a cross, or a latin T as one might call it. In fact, that sort of contraption was extremely rarely used by the romans. More likely candidates are in the shape of an X or our version of T or just a simple horizontal bar nailed to a wall that were a lot more commonly used. There are no historical documents that gives us any information to what sort of device he was crucified on.... except for the bible which can not for obvious reasons be trusted. But I'm sure you knew this, right?

That's all Christians can have is faith they don't have any other options what so ever , if there were a God there would be absolutely NO NEED for religion , God would be a fact and not a belief. I don't believe in the sky or the moon or stars

And I didn't  ' believe ' in God long before I had read the scientific explanation on the physical world , I had a strong suspicion it was all nonsense and science just confirmed that position

The key is purity and a genuine desire to have a relationship.  God wants to have a relationship with you only if you genuinely want to have one with him.  The reason most hear crickets is because they never wanted to know God to begin with and he knows this.  God can do wonders with a humble heart......he must increase while we must decrease.

I understand what you're saying....I really do.  God has performed a wonderful work in my life and it was only when I truly surrendered to his will and turned from my own fruitless desires that his love and grace were revealed.  Funny thing is, they were always there I was just walking around with blinders.  I'll always be a broken down sinner, but he saved me, forgave me and changed me....I love him for it.
