In 2002 I was training 5-6 days a week and in great shape, then my appendix burst.  My temperature was 103-105 for about 2 days.  I was delirious and could barely see or walk.  My friend had to take me to the emergency room.  When I left the hospital 4 days later, I weighed myself and discovered I lost almost 20 lbs... most of it was fat.

yep, ironically high temperature is the best fat burner...I had a viral conjectivitis two years ago and spent almost 10 days in bed with a very high temperature (just on the edge of "dangerous")...I am against meds and normally rely on my immune system to do the job, so I didn't take anything to lower the temp and just suffered through it....when I finally recovered, I lost around 15 pounds and was looking very lean...

Depends...have you had a procedure done recently (surgery or even dental work)...then 101 and hurry.

Otherwise I'd say 103+
