Making a main event a year out? UNREAL!!!!

In Rock's hometown, no less.

Forget the streak or either World title match!!! THIS IS IT!!!

I like it. It's creative if nothing else. I'm interested to see if Rock sticks around or if he goes away for a while.

They got a year to build this up.....I'm willing to bet they ruin it and do a 6 week build up just before WM.

They have the potential to build this into a huge match, IF Rock stays around.

Well, I like it now...It's obviously way to early to pass judgement on it positive or negative. There's a lot of variables but it could be absolutley huge.

Yup...it true....but remember that things are always subject to change. But that is the plan. Rock versus Cena at WM28 in the Rock's hometown of Miami. Should be good. Now we the magic question is who will Undertaker face??

I think Goldberg would be perfect.

His ego doesn't need the spotlight.
And, if the money was right, I suspect he would come back to agreeably do a job.

The only problem I forsee is that he's been out of action for a while and would have to be built up as a credible threat.
Also, I don't know what kind of relationship he's got with the old man.

I think it would be perfect. Its Wm. You need something HUGE. You need to get people to believe that the streak as a real threat. Just like with HHH and Michaels. No one really knew who would win. Us here who have been watching the business and know its ins and outs knew that the streak ending would be silly. But there was still somewhat doubt.

Goldberg has the MMA background, the size the look. He just needs in ring work, a good build up and the right price tag to do it. Can you imagine Goldbergs MMA armbar versus Taker's Hells' Gate triangle choke hold? Undertaker needs to be healthy and rested. No injuries and no issues. He went into this match with HHH with a bad shoulder.

I think it would be a good idea.

I suspect they'll take excellent care of the Dead Man over the next year, going to every length to keep him as healthy as possible for this finale.
I expect the next twelve months to be the lightest & easiest schedule Taker has ever worked.

Whats funny is Undertaker missed WM10 (kayfabe) at MSG back in 1994. Had he participated in it, he would have been 20 - 0.

I'm pretty sure he missed 16 too which sucked because he had a bunch of options on feuds.

Unless Cena makes a full heel turn, this is going to be blame. You can see how lame it is going to be simply because they had the Corre attack Rock/Cena after the announcement.

I guess the Miz and Riley was out being too awesome to participate and they couldn't find anyone else relevant to the the current feud/situation to make it noteworthy. So they stuck the whipping boys Corre in there to catch the beat down.

They even had the Rock mention how "he respects Cena", just to take the heat off the WWE's poster boy. I will give Cena one thing....he knows how to take heat. He rolls all the "Cena sucks" chants and the booing off his shoulders like nothing. Other guys like Batista would get visably upset...forgetting the he is still getting an 850,000 dollar a year paycheck.

Edge-Taker at WrestleMania 24 was almost as long.

And, though it didn't happen at WrestleMania, the Hogan-Andre rematch was 10 to 11 months in the making.

No it didn't. Andre officially turned heel in piper's pit in Jan of 1987. That is when the build up started. 2 months before WM3. It took three Piper's pit segments to build up the heel turn. Not 1 year.

Savage turned heel feb 1989. 2 months before WM5. Not 1 year in advance.

Isn't that what a face is supposed to do? If Rock came out and said Cena sucks, can't wrestle, etc...then so what if Rock beats Cena? He beat a guy that can't wrestle.

But this is different because while those feuds may have been "building" for months........Which was done alot in the 80's and 90's....This is the first time I believe that a main event has been announced a year in a advance.

I think he was trying to take some heat off of Cena. When you have the "golden goose", you don't want to go against the momentum. Cena is the WWE's top star right now. Undertaker is pretty much done as is Triple H. They don't want to destry Cena's credibility.

Oh, it works, depending on who the wrestlers are.

Hogan-Warrior: WrestleMania 6

'Taker-Michaels: WrestleMania 25 and 26 (especially 25).

Austin-Rock: WrestleMania 17

Cena-Michaels: WrestleMania 23
