Remember the Pershing missiles in Europe? Bombing Khadaffi and sending him back into his hole for decades. Lifted the price ceilings Carter imposed on gas causing long gas lines. I lived through that. You think the hostages in Iran would have been released if we reelected Carter?

Maybe you remember him just for speeches but most that actually followed what went on in this country at the time remember him for more. Much, much more. He made a huge difference. And a difference for the better.

As a career public school physics teacher I tend to vote democratic because they support my own  interests.
I could care less about gay marriage or abortion or religion, etc.

The US builds on Christianity, so it's impossible for a non-christian to become president.

This country was built on Judea/Christian ethics and it's a value system the majority embrace. I don't think it's impossible for a non-Christian to become President as I would have no problem with Romney being a Mormon though I think their faith is wacky.

I voted for Obama and think he was the better choice in the general election.
I voted for McCain in the 200o GOP primary, believe it or not.
he went way too far right wing and picked Palin in 2008.

What the new republican party does is use class warfare as a bad thing.
