4-5000 cal are pretty normal for me when eating clean--hitting 7000 isnt to hard in the offseason--but I weigh 285lbs offseason and 255lbs 5'10" contest time...with a very fast metabolism....

My clean diet when i start prep 16 weeks out....5000 cal-
525 gr protein=2100cal-75 gr x 7 meals
500 gr carbs=2000cals--100 gr x 5 meals-this drops to 300gr when I get closer
100 gr EFAs=900 cals-20 gr x 5 meals

Offseason upto 7000 depending on what I look like and what gear-gh Iam on..

Fueled by steroids that he says he used from his last year in high school to the middle of his senior season at Michigan State, Mandarich was a 6-foot-5, 315-pound freak of nature offensive tackle that consumed up to 15,000 calories a day, bench pressed nearly 550 pounds and for whom the term "pancake" was created.

Rumors of steroid use swirled around him but he tested clean every time — once using a squeaky dog toy taped to his back and filled with a teammate's urine to do so.

At the NFL combine, scouts were tripping over themselves when Mandarich ran a 4.65 40-yard dash in Indianapolis. For comparison, Auburn's Cam Newton ran a 4.59 at this year's combine.

I don't believe the 15000 calories but I would believe around 7-8 or even 9000. We're talking polar opposites between an athlete that is constantly burning, 2 a days, etc as compared to a bodybuilder who trains for 45-60mins, resting between sets up to 2-3mins then doing basically nothing for the rest of the day but some personal business.

Well... How many calories you think it takes for fella like Jay Huge Cutler to gain one pound of muscle tissue?

So many variables to consider. . .   A guess; with all the pharmaceuticals that Jay takes and with all his muscle, his BMR is obviously sky high.

-When Jay's not training he does not lead an active life style. He doesn't go snowboarding or ride motocross. He doesn't practice the Martial Arts. He doesn't go hiking on Mt. Charleston (near his house in Vegas). Hell, he doesn't even wash his own car or mow his own grass.

-It is absolutely impossible that he would NEED anymore than 4,000 - 5,000 calories per day to add any muscle.

450 grams of protein per day = 1,800 calories
500 grams of carbs per day = 2,000 calories
150 grams of fat per day = 1,350 calories

That's 5,150 calories per day and that's huge. I can not fathom Jay would NEED more food than that to gain muscle. If he does, hell, I guess he just does.

I did NOT see this post until after making my above post.  My man, I hope you are a winning Pro bodybuilder or a least some sort of highly paid athlete.  Those numbers are insane. If it is working- more power to ya!

Look, it doesn't matter whether he ate 7500 calories or not, the bottom line is he nor any other competing bodybuilder does not need those massive amount of calories and massive amounts of macros to put muscle on, its a waste of time and money, I don't care what someone is using.

You really believe that on 15i.u. of HGH and Tren in the grams you need to eat clean? LOL

I bet my ass Cutler downs a few shakes a day, just because it's more convenient. Then add some Sushi, hamburgers or steaks and ice cream and you're set.  ;)

No, I don't... you know what I'm saying. (To our "all-natural-I wanna-believe-this-shit) buddies. Lol my ass off.

You know the cupboards are stocked with Fruity Pebbles and Ho ho (ho's??) Twinkies (Twinks???) and cookies, cake, ice cream (well, not in the cupboard) chips, soda, crackers...

I'm sure there's plenty of good shit too.

I'm sorry, but you can't come on here and tell people how much they do and don't eat. Who made you the authority on what everybody else eats?

We should be authorities on how much everyone here poops....

I remember that. I also remember Vic Richards claiming he ate 4 pounds (uncooked weight) of rice and 8 pounds of red meat daily.

Kids, 3,000 calories per day is big. 5,000 calories per day is massive. 7,500 per day is impossible unless you are a Pro Sumo Wrestler.
pretty hard i remember eating 6 lb of steak at one sitting and that's only like 3600 cals, i ate some other stuff too but couldn't have close to 7500 cals.

Derek Poundstone claims 5000 kcals daily, sometimes getting up into 7000 on training days, same for a few other strongmen on a training tape I just watched, so as mentioned 5,000 or so is a good non bs figure. Almost all the other SHW lifters and strongmen I've seen in person are in that range also.

Even the biggest meal at Micky D's is around 12-1400 cal. Even if you were eating there 3 times perday it wouldn't equal 6k.
