I thought it was pretty good. I watched it earlier today. It was the first marx brothers film I've seen. I doubt I would call it a classic, but i did think it was just a fun feel good movie. I prefer Charlie Chaplin's films from that era, which I plan on re-watching City Lights this weekend.

yeah, i'll have to give it another try sometime. i say classic because it's considered amongst their best, if not the best by marx brothers fans.

i'm not anti 'old' films. my laurel and hardy box set is the prize of my dvd collection. comedy geniuses with few equals.

chaplin films used to make me cry when i was a kid  :'(

The Roommate (2011) - if you've seen 'single white female', then don't bother with this inferior ripoff.

yep, it's more or less a scene for scene remake. and a piss poor one at that.

on the plus side though.. the girls are pretty. but not pretty enough to stave off my growing boredom at this film.

m,y daughter thought it was great though. kids eh!  ::)

Try "It's a Gift",...W. C. Fields...
As far as "Duck Soup"goes,...some people can't get their heads around Groucho and Chico's "wordplay"...

Laurel and Hardy's "That's My Wife" is their best two reeler,  and there exists a "score" recorded during that time period that enhances the enjoyment greatly.

The Unnamable (1988) - the blood begins to run when a couple of frat prats take two college babes to a haunted house in the hope of getting lucky and getting in their panties. the idea being that they'll be so scared they'll 'put out'.

well, it at least worked for one of them, and we get to see her lovely boobies in the most unlikely of places. you've gotta love 80s horror with its gratuitous nudity  ;)

the monster looks good and is pretty creepy. we just don't get to see enough of her.
