MYTH.... another bs someone just made up and is now "fact". Look, if you look at side by side comparisons on both, at the same pic, you will see that Arnold almost dwarfs Sergio. Once again, frame and height are big factors when it come to absolute size numbers.

Sergios a lot of Sergios mass was an ilusion caused by his small head and tiny frame.



balls is back to you, if Sergio had 20 inchers, Arnold was easily 21+

Arnold's skeletal frame easily supported his mass and without such a large frame upon which to build, he would most assuredly not have been nearly as large as he was.  I have seen men with wrists measuring over 8" in circumference and their arms were much larger than those at very similar body weights with smaller bone structures.   Think of all those "tiny" clavicle arguments about Phul Heath and perhaps then you'll understand what I am saying is true.

in the 70's, 20 inch arms were old news, now EVERYBODY had 20 inch plus arms ::)

and so it progressed, Mike Mattarazzo and Dillet had 23's or 24's, ronnie had God-knows-what ::)

a REAL 20 inch arm of defined, striated, dry, contest-ready muscle, is very, very large, its almost the size of a sedentary individuals' thigh.

Then you are shooting your own arguement in the foot - it is a fact Arnolds arms were measured less than sergios - muscle bellies and illusion plus the mags editing pics play a huge part in what you see.

Arnold at his "biggest" before he made a splash in the BB world could well have had 20 inch arms but he was also fat and stupid - it wasnt till he had his ass handed to him by a much smaller yet better conditioned Zane that he stopped and realised that the biggest man is not always the best..

Your comment regarding Nubret holding his own against again is all illususion - Serge's Bellies and that god dam insane midsection help here - look to the width of sergio and serges medial deltoid to medial deltoid - that gives an honest answer to who held more mass.

Nubret's Arms at there biggest on stage were a lil over 18 inches - its all illusion/ full muscle bellies and insertions that make them look bigger.

In Arnold's Encyclopedia he says he has a small bone structure and people would often be surprised by how thin his wrists were.

"Small bones, big muscles'' if I remember correctly, is what he then said after mentioning this.

That's probably one of the reasons he always looked so much bigger at his weight.
