Government just seized them last night and took all the money with them. Poker Stars already has the Gov tag but these other two sites have been hit as well.

Get your money out as soon as you can...if you can!!!.

you gamble with your life ####ing vissy in the a##. now, you gamble with your money. you realize the algorithms on those sites are setup to take your money. you get better odds sitting at a table with real folks. eventhough one getbigger claimed he earned a living, i'd like to see the bank statements.

I made my money from being an affiliate. I got paid from new signups and a percentage of money lost....not much to write home about but it all goes into the pot to pay bills.

I only used their play money accounts....all the enjoyment without the expense

Vince... The UIGEA was passed 3 years ago. All of us US players knew the day was coming where there was going to be a shutdown. It's not the sites and their owners that any of us should have a beef with, it's the government and their belief that they have the right to limit once again our constitutional rights.

If you really had a clue, or cared, you'd have been touting the PPA and the fight vs the UIGEA for years now. But once again, you don't have any idea what you're talking about...

Yes, April 15th - these sites were 'siezed' for 'illegal' gambling.

Anything that will effect the profits of the Indian casino's or various cities (Vegas, Atlantic City, etc) and not good for making revenue will be shut down. However, pretty much once they agree to pay taxes or money, they will be back up.

Question is, if they are in a different country, can the US shut them down, or just block their ip into the states?

Is playing online poker just as illegal as playing a high stakes poker game in your home?

I thought that ALL internet gaming was illegal in USA. Therefore, if you won big and the site didnt pay you, you had no legal recourse. I use sportsbetting.com and they've always paid up. Not that Ive ever taken them for big money or anything.

i believe it is more illegal because you are crossing state lines.
