Finding clothes that fit
« on: June 04, 2011, 05:17:15 PM »
Is the biggest pain in the ass.
Took the wife shopping, figured id try on a few things.  Polo, CalvinKlein, Izod, Banana Republic....
Nobody has anything over 2xl, and the current version of 2xl is what I would consider a large.
And these days I'm really only about 225-230, not even that big or overly muscular, just football-player-ish.

Now, please fill this thread with ridiculous bodybuilding attire.  Extra points for Chick dressed as captain crunch at the olympia.

Go to the Custom House and get 4 to 6 shirts made to measure, pastel button down.  Then if you can afford it get several trousers made; If you can't afford them, Joseph a Banks and have them heavily altered.  Do same with a blazer.

I hate the way 3XL's are generally massive at the waist!

My sister got me some nice ones from America, they seem to be a nicer fit/designed for bigger or fatter people over there!

What about hats?  Big ol' waterheaded gigantor that you are, it must be difficult to find a cover for that cranium.  For the record, I've never seen such a small mind in such a large head. And just because  you axed for it elsewhere, FTN big guy.  ;)

Oooooooooo... You've heard of the "good time had by all"?  You must be her son.  I would ask how your mom is, but I don't think either the forum nor myself are all that interested in hearing about your sex life.

Fuck your noise, druggie. ;D

word on the street is that an empty potato sack with a couple of extra holes cut out works just as well and is eco-friendly.

That's because you are a tiny shit, leafy.    :-*

Its not that I can't fit into an 2xl polo shirt, its that I don't like the way they fit me.
I don't like sleeves that come down one inch onto my arm with a snug fit, making it look like I'm trying to show off by wearing tight clothes.  I'm much too conservative for that.  I like sleeves that come down to my elbow.  Its the way they cut their clothes.

I do get my suits custom made, but the point is it would be nice to walk into a store and buy a few casual polo shirts without having to resort to some off brand at a big and tall store.

That is partly true. If i were 250lbs i would still be a tiny tit and i'd imagine id still have no trouble fitting into clothes.. I am typing this wearing a polo i had when i was 15 :D

I'm not sure that's a good thing lol.
Again its not that I can't 'fit' into clothes, its that I prefer a more conservative look as opposed to purposely wearing something 'fitted' to draw attention to myself.  I don't like to look like I'm wearing 'skinny jeans' all over lol.

well most humans arent built whereas their chest is 20inches+ bigger than their waist so stores have no reason to make shirts cut like that (maybe the other way around, the waist 20inches bigger than their chest).

so just get whatever shirt fits you nice on the upper body, the rest let a good tailor fix

the hard thing is the "thigh to waist" and "shoulder/chest to mid section width" thing for me. Either the shirt is too damn wide in the midsection area or the waist in paints has to be "sizes" over my normal waist size just so they can fit over my thighs and ass. I'm talking about my work clothes in particular which includes (suits, khakis, polo's, button up shirts..etc)

regular street attire, I could care less. I usually wear loose jeans or shorts and double XX T shirts here in south florida pretty much everywhere and it's no prob.

It's funny..in the gym people see your symmetry in your physique (mass vs body fat..etc) and admire, but in my work attire I look like a fat pig with a gut in my clothing. LOL

HAHAHAHHAHHAHA

How gay is this shit? LOLOL
Even more gay is listing some 'feminine' clothing brands...

This is what young "males" are these days? Complaining about not finding fitting clothes and listing brands on internet message board?

FUK! I can't even imagine young men getting manicure and discussing about whether silk or satin feels better on skin sum' 20 years ago..  :-\

And now, Please fuk off.

Lose some fucking weight before you have a heart attack.

 Ever thought of that one?

Being 170-180 pounds and ripped is good enough.

I also look fat in work clothes. Once I tuck it in its fine looking though the second I move and it becomes looser looks daft. Meh!

Yup. Big guys look like clowns when they put on formal/professional clothes.

Lower the dose and trim down.
