Free posing has no bearing on the outcome of the contest so don't expect to see much of value.

If it did have a real impact, competitors would spend more effort on creating posing routines of real quality.

The IFBB, in their infinite wisdom, decided to ignore the potential of good posing and reduced it to even less than an after thought.

The posing round is meant for the fans.  Phil Heath and Jay Cutler's routine drew quite an applause from the audience.   It is vastly different watching a competition from a webcast to actually being there.  The energy is intense there, especially at this stage and in this arena.

btw, phil is TRULY 5'9".  lets be real.  jay is more like 5'7.5", is much shorter than phil unless phil lies about his height and is taller.
