Funny their around the same weight at their bests ( 245lbs ) but Ronnie 1998/2001 would demolish him

as far as stature, phil is no different than dex standing next to ronnie. every O ronnie won, he'd demolish phil's narrow ass. plenty of guys like cutler and ray showed up more cut than ronnie, so what! in an era where a back won the O, that narrow shit phil has wouldn't work against ronnie or even yates.

Listen, I am a Phil fan, been accused of being blind when I said that Phil is the best of this gen. Got his first DVD, and I knew that from his first Flex cover, dude had Mr. O written all over him, unless he effed it up like Flex.

That being said, I disagree with DJ, Ronnie Coleman was dominate over Jay, Flex, Vic, Chris, Dex, Gunter (especially after the GNC), DJ, Nasser, Shawn...and he won 8 of them, he was dominate.
Phil is consistant, but a in shape Kai can beat Phil. Hell, Beyeke could beat Phil, and Shawn Rhoden (once he gets his act together could beat Phil. Brian Curry has a better structure...

I'm glad Phil won, as I always have thought he was better than Jay, but if Jay had Ronnie's back, Phil would never win...Jay with a detailed back like Ronnie's would be unstoppable. Period.

Now, we will see how far Phil will take this...Will he become a freak?

Ronnie was a freak with some outstanding body parts but his structure was horrible, no calves ,thighs w/out separation /striations , huge but droopy chest, huge gut , horrible midsection/abs............etc

I have to agree.. the Heavy weights are a freak of nature.... its no longer bodybuilding but who responds best to the aas, training and heavy lifting no longer apply, tho some pros like to lift heavy to sell videos

The inherent problem with Pro bbing is that one must get freakier and bigger to "win" or please the "Gods" (the powers that be)

Phil looked his best his rookie yr, Flex looked his best his rookie yr. Ronnie looked his best when he first won the O and in 99.

And when one wins the O, the next yr they have to step up the freak factor...Mark my words, this is possibly the last yr Phil will have his "aesthetics", he will gradually get freakier...his abs were never "ideal", and now they are kinda spreading apart---DJ style. His arms will get bigger and freakier, back will get thicker, legs as well. Traps will be thicker, chest thicker, delts as well...but, he will always be known for his showpiece arms (like Ronnie, like Flex, like Arnold).
