Vince you admitted yourself that you didn't actually pass the training phase because of health problems
No, I completed NBC training, passed my rifle and grenade courses, I just didn't get to advance to career training after basic. Spent the last few months of service guarding ammo dumps, KP, mowing the grass (or mostly dirt), transporting ice to the ranges, inventory and supply, mostly grunt work. Got the health issues cleared up after I got out of the service as was in reserve status for a few years. I was actually offered back in 2002 re-admission with a promotion to E-4 Specialist but I declined the offer as I had moved on from that time. Its hard to drill and train so hard for 4 years in ROTC only to end up being discharged. I planned to make a career serving in the military as my family did for generations but things just didn't work out as I thought.
It was the most painful and most difficult part in my entire life, much more than anything that's been said about me on Getbig or any other place. Sometimes I still have nightmares about seeing my DD214's being stamped DISCHARGED in big red letters all around me, watching my friends move on while I'm being left out in the cold, trying to chase after my platoon and watching them fade in the distance and never being able to run fast enough to catch up.
But the experience toughened my ass up and I had to grow up really fast. That's prob why I became so obsessed with health and fitness for to where I do it for a living.
