Our military is an aggressor force, especially the Marine Corp, they WERE our shock troops in Iraq, they made it to Baghdad in weeks, in one of the quickest marches in history.
Their whole mission is to smash and destroy with the most overwhelming force possible.
We have some of the best trained and most highly motivated military in existance, ever, and you want to use contractors?
Guys who fight for cash, havent spent years training with each other, dont have access to nearly as much weapons/technology, etc, etc, etc?
If youre talking about small surgical units, your idea gets even more ridiculous. We have some of the absolute best Special Operators in the world, between the SEALs, Army SF, and MARSOC, theyre capable of sneaking in, icing whoever needs icing, and sneaking out without anyone even knowing they were there. Hell, in some cases they'll carry weapons that fire the enemies rounds so they dont even leave tracable shell casings behind.
I mean, these are guys that literally are capable of blending in with the civilian populace of their targets... in essence, becoming invisible.
In Iraq and Afghanistan, these guys wore the same hadji clothes and beards, walked among them without anyone the wiser. They speak multiple languages, theyre fucking ghosts.
