I agree. Like it or not, wrestling was so much better when the athletes were jacked to high hell and, in their monologues, talked about crushing their opponents ... and not simply talked in a way to move forward some lame-ass plot.

All the guys now are shaved so they look all tiny tit smooth and wimpy and their characters are "safe" and non-offensive.

Guys like Warlord, Ultimate Warrior, Kevin Nash, Goldberg, etc. looked like they could literally pull you in half. And they looked intimidating as hell. Now the "stars", for the most part, look PG ghey.

It amazes me watchin these older matches again.  In that match you saw the following:

Nash (just signed to WWE contract)
Goldberg (retired)
Bam Bam Bigelow (dead)
Eddie Guerrero (dead)
Scott Hall (slowly killing himself)

I was a big fan of the Stone Cold Steve Austin era.

For wrasslin fans everything is relevant to the era you were first exposed to (based upon when you first saw WWF and where you lived...I watched WWF and WCCW and later early NWA/WCW).  I grew up watching the Von Erichs, Magnum TA, the Missing Link, the Freebirds, Ice Man King Parsons, Ric Flair, Gentleman Chris Adams, the Rock n Roll Express, the Four Horsemen and of course the 80s WWF Hulkamania era.  We've gone from WCCW/Midwest/80s Hulkamania to the nWo/DX/Stone Cold/Rock Attitude Era to an era not near as atttitude as the attitude era but more attitude than 80s WWF Hulkamania.  Basically, full family friendly to non family friendly to almost full family friendly.  Everyone wants another attitude era....it'll happen, don't worry.  TNA is trying to create another attitude era...it just ain't workin right now....needs more young superstar power.

Greatest era of wrasslin.....easy....EAS Y.....Monday Night Wars.....'94 to '98.....done and done.

Never was a wrestling fan, but it seems that it's being pussified. Will have to read a little bit about its current state.

The top guys don't have to abide by the wellness policy.....Cena, Triple H, Undertaker, Orton, Batista, and a few others like Mason Ryan.  Everyone else has to get by on a brutal road schedule with no offseason and no break..............witho ut drugs and the punishment they take in the ring, its no wonder they all have a skinny-fat look.  I remember the days of the Road Warriors, the Ultimate Warrior, Macho Man, the Powers of Pain, Demolition, British Bulldog, Hercules, Nash, Razor Ramon....all had big, powerful, awesome physiques.

Nowadays, the WWE can't do anything even remotely controversial anymore before some special interest group that no one has heard of before gets offended.
