It's only maturity I think. 2004-2011 is many years to gain maturity for a top athlete.

The better question is "why wouldn't he be taking HGH"?

Every pro athlete should take HGH. In his case he is worth 100s of millions and has to be at the top of his game all of the time.

GH aka the nector of the gods will keep him in his prime longer.

Wouldn't surprise me if he's on low doses of GH and other hormones, but that probably has little to do with his face being "bigger" as you put it. In 2004 he was still a teen, so I think he just matured.
