Hammer it's horrible what happend to your son   but we live in a free society accidents happen. Do we stop driving to work everyday because it's dangerous to be in a car? People should never be shooting .22 that close to someones house those bullets travel pretty far. You can't just outright ban things though you start going down a slippery slope. They have game wardens everywhere! They make sure you're following the proper rules and procedures when it comes to what calibers you can use and what game you can take.

Alright I'll agree it ain't a left wing right wing issue, but Obama isn't the fucking problem, the people with real money in this country have to much lobbying clout it's no surprise, and I'm sick of pretending otherwise, just to fulfill some childish notions of democracy were no better than some corrupt asian country. And our tax rate isn't any better than some socialist shitwhole like france.  

Just look into how the rocket launch contracts works for defense satelites. There multi billion dollar launch contract yet there not open to bid from american companies, but only a select few with a set amount of lobbying power.

Of course, but it hasnt been until recently that they blatantly began taking rights from the general public. For the most part, until recently, they have been GIVING rights to the general populous... the last 10 years or so has all been about reigning in control IMHO.

Not at all.
Their are civilian versions of many Military weapons. The M-16 assault rifle is available to the public as the AR15.. and its a very common weapon.

Dont undersell how the 2nd amendment protects us from our own government... it really does.

Same here.  I'm not sure what to make of gun nuts, other than that they just like to collect guns, which is cool.  If the shit hits the fan, I'm not sure what having 30 guns would do for you, as you can't carry around 30 guns at once.  The few guns I do have, however, have lots of ammo and am comfortable shooting them.  I need to post up pics of my tried and true 870 with ammo mount, scope, and light mount.....and my 8.5" .44 Raging Bull

I have a mossberg 500 and a glock 19 I have a nice stock of ammo for both. I would like to add an ak or ar15 but they're a little out of my price range right now. After that I will be happy with what I have. I wish the days of 150 dollars sks and 300-500 dollars aks was still around. Ten years ago you could buy an sks for 100 bucks and 1000 rounds of 7.62x39 for 50 bucks. That would cost 500-700 bucks now.
