I can still get irritated sometimes, but mostly I pity the fools...
very irritating, but i think this type of topic can't be reasoned into someone because of their religious background.
A lot of people are sensible enough to accept the evidence, but for most I think it has to be a top down religious education that accepts science, and makes religion consistent with evolution. Otherwise, its not easy to present something to someone that goes in contradiction to their religious beliefs and ethic- which is a cornerstone in their life and ultimately their survival guide to life. I'm really not in favor of robbing some one of that, so I advocate the more sympathic and perhaps slow method of making people more educated in general. Whereas science illuminates our understanding of the world, it does little to replace value systems that people live by to carry on with life.
