Outliers. Do you know what that means?
Yes I understand outliers. That's not what you said. You said it's not debatable, which means there are no outliers.
And even your outliers position isn't consistent with what we actually see on the field. This isn't a situation where a smurf like Doug Flutie had some success in the NFL. We're talking about an "outlier" in Brees who is literally in the GOAT conversation. And Joe Montana who is the GOAT. And numerous others who don't fit the traditional mold, but are really successful, while others who fit the traditional mold fail.
Kyler Murray and Bryce Young are both 5'10". (I think Murray is 5'10" with his shoes on.) There are a lot of others who are in that range who are just terrific football players. I watched two of them live in the Hawaii bowl in December. Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele is 6'3". Really good young QB. Plays for Cal. Micah Alejado is 5'10" and plays for UH. Alejado is a better QB IMO. But because Sagapolutele has the "measurables," he will be a much higher NFL prospect than Alejado.
I can't tell you how many times the metrics have been wrong. Same with NFL combine numbers. What matters more than anything is game day. Like I said, the film doesn't lie.
