Insurance f........ me - fake leather

Nearly a month ago someone broke into my car (05 cts) and slashed all my leather seats, everything including the head rest and the back seats, they even cut through the electronic wiring, so brought the car to the dealership my insurance told me to bring it to, and got a rental till yesterday. My girlfriend picks up the car and when I saw it I was fucken pissed, they gave me bran spankin new  seats but they where linen, a fake type of leather, now i have to wait till Tuesday to bitch them out, bunch of idiots.

At littleguns.... yes it was probably the dealerships fault for getting the wrong material, but the insurance has to approve of it before the work is done so the guy that was at fault ultimately was the insurance guy, lol cts is Cadillac not Mercedes

If you have good insurance they will unfuck it cuz all you got to do is make one phone call and cancel their ass and better deal them. If you are a veteran, any of you, check out USAA. They straight up kiss your ass until you're happy and will beat anyone's rate.

Actually, no....just dealership.  Dealership sends in approval for change of seat...and if it fits withing reasonable and customary charges....they approve.  If it was cheaper, they couldn't care less.  Now, if you went from vinyl to leather....that would raise some red flags.

It happens in medical as well as auto insurance approval....

I am sorry to hear about your loss, but this should be a lesson.  Do not own anything too flashy, expensive.  Capitalism has driven people to want things they do not need.  A car is not a place for sleeping, it is box to get your from place a to b.  In the future, buy a much cheaper, used car, that no one will think twice when they pass by it.

We have to hope so, but this does not sound random to me either.  Was your neighbors car broken into on the exact same night?

Exactly, where was your car parked when this happened?  It sounds as though it was outside your house on the street...?  If so, do you know the neighborhood well?  The neighborhood tweens?  Do you have any enemies?  Scratch that--everyone has enemies; do you know whom your enemies are?  Are you the type to let the law handle it if they are ever caught or are you the type to exact sweet revenge (I am!  If there is no justice in the courts there is justice in the streets).  If you want to plot revenge strategies let me know.  You can mess with my (wo)man but don't dare mess with my ride.

I know of someone who did that to their own car, in order to get upgraded shit...
Made it look like a jealous girl did it...because a woman would slash shit up---a dude would be upfront about any percieved wrongdoings.

That someone you know of doesn't sound very bright.  An insurance company certainly would not pay for "upgraded shit."  If anything they would try to lower the cost of the repair by downgrading any replacement as we see in this thread.

Several years ago, a lawyer friend of mine had a house in Northern Virginia that burned down.  The house was originally all brick.  When the insurance company got involved they paid for for "brick facing" (on the front of the house) and aluminum siding around the rest of the house.  My friend was not having it, but the insurance company would not budge.  Eventually, he had to sue them (it took a few years); he did and he won!  The aluminum siding was taken down and the entire house was bricked.

Too flashy? hope your joking cause this car is not even middle class, v6 with a crappy interior, paid 15 000 in 09 for it, it's probably worth around 8 to 9 grand now.
