How ironic, considering how far the acceptable level of service in a restaurant has fallen. If you come to my table with a shitty attitude, letting everyone know how bothered you are by being at work, chomping gum, unkempt, don't know the menu, don't check up on the table periodically.....you won't have to wait until the tipping part of the meal for me to resolve the issue.

Fuck that....leaving a shitty tip and running out the door is so Beta. Handle the problem right up front with a manager. No fucking way some $3/hr idiot is going to ruin my night out.

Guys....I'll tip 20% when the service is good, about 25% when it is very good, and 30% or more and a talk with a manager when the service is excellent. I know the good ones work hard.

Even waitors in a typical burger joint can pick up 200 a day in tips.  Working from 6 P to 2 AM waiting on tables running up tabs from $50 to $200 plus adds up. When I was a kid one of my first jobs was waiting tables,
and I can tell you from experience that blacks either give shitty or no tips,
or they'll overcompensate due to the perception of them as bad tippers and give really good tips.

Usually it's the former (no tip).

The worst tippers by far are Indians (native American). If you get a tip out of an Indian you'll feel like you're in the twilight zone.

Ive noticed that too, several of the restaraunts ive been to recently have been like this, cant answer any menu questions, looking dirty, seems annoyed to even have to talk to us, I had one bitch actually check her phone while taking my order (my wife just about went ballistic). Its getting pathetic. Needless to say those people dont get my customary 15%+ tip, lol.

Especially when you try and flag one down for a refill after theyve walked by your table 10+ times and never stopped to pick up the empty glass on the edge, and then they give you a dirty look and mumble under their breath because they have to do something. guy pissed me off.
One dude even tried to hit on my wife while waiting on our table (I didnt even have to say anything, it was pathetic, lol. My wife wound up laughing in his face, which was way more embarrassing for him than any hardass line I could have pulled out.)

Always seems to happen at a places like Chili's and TGI's.
