hey prime my ex bro in law used to work at jakes many years ago executive chef i beleive. he now owns tacos di los muertos, have tried them he also head chef and co owner of a restraunt in mccminnville called thistle his name is eric hes a well known chef in oregan

Cool. The restaurant business is tough from what I hear. Jake's is part of a large chain now, since McCormick and Schmick's was bought out.

Quote
In 1972, William "Bill" McCormick purchased Jake's Famous Crawfish and hired Doug Schmick as his manager. Several years later, the pair formed a partnership that would later become the restaurant chain McCormick & Schmick's.

Quote
Tilman Feritta, owner of Landry's Inc., sealed the deal to acquire McCormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurants Inc. Tuesday.

McMinnville is a fair distance away from where I live just to eat out. Maybe, I'll look for that restaurant on the way to the beach next time we go.

I rarely tip. Very very rarely. It's so rare that I receive service that's tip-worthy anyway. I was in the States a last month with work and in America it's expected to tip. Naturally I would make a point NOT tipping due to the expectations. You're not getting fuck all Betty Sue unless I see them teeth smiling and a spring in that step. Here in Britain it's not expected ... or if it is, I wouldn't notice anyway. In Europe, Slovakia and Hungary especially I remember, being a water seems to be a career choice so it's incredibly professional without being overbearing. I always tip.

You seem cheap.

In some countries waitstaff are paid a decent living wage. However, in the U.S. this is most often not the case and they are paid minimum wage. Without the tips they can't make enough money to survive. Working in food service, regardless of where one is is a career choice....however short that career may end up being. I worked for a couple of restaurants when I was in my late teens. At one I was a cashier, another I worked in the kitchen as a sou chef. I once worked at a restaurant in Santa Monica as a busboy/cashier. I hated the work. It had nothing to do with tips or rude customers though. Maybe this is why my foodservice career was very shortlived.

Well..we fuck your mothers when they can no longer be satisfied by your fathers..by doing this, we keep white families together so that mom can tolerate you dad's shortcommings by getting satisfied elsewhere by a black guy...this way you don';t have to cry in divorce court begging mommy and daddy to stay together :)
