“My previous fight was in Moscow and my last fight will be in St. Petersburg on June 21st. It will be the last fight in my career.”

When pressed on whether this would be it, Emelianenko replies:

“Yes. I think it’s time to end my career.”

Fedor has won his last two fights since his three-fight setback under the Strikeforce banner, defeating Jeff Monson and Satoshi Ishii to close out 2011. Prior to that he’d lost to Fabricio Werdum, Antonio “Big Foot” Silva and Dan Henderson. He’ll face Pedro Rizzo on July 21st in St. Petersburg, Russia

I cant picture him saying "Im the greatest of all time", doesnt sound like him.

He is though, IMHO, the greatest of all time.

Hard to see him retire. Maybe retire for the moment being, but not forever? I'm a big fan of his. He's a real humble dude, and it's a job itself staying or trying to stay humble.

Aleks was so much wasted potential.

Sources from Fedor's camp have said that Aleks would show up to 1 day of training camp, spar alittle bit, and fight just for a paycheck.

If they guy had dedicated himself he could've been one of the best IMO.

Lol, It doesn't matter Mak, We all know Fedor would have laid waste to those retards in the UFC during his prime. There would have been no Iceman, and no Captain America. All of the Pride guys would have ruled the UFC.

Van Damme was my childhood idol. I still watch all of his new movies that come out. Does anyone know when Dragon Eyes is supposed to be released on DVD? I know it's out on video on demand, but I want it for my collection.
