HELL NO!!! Dude, I'm not a sociopath. Haha. We go on trips all the time, I just pack some extra food.  Its really not a hobby that sucks the life outta me...it actually improves other areas of my life. I enjoy some cold beers on occasion, I love a good cigar (insert penis joke here), I like going out and being with my friends. I'm all for balance in my life. Weighing my food doesnt mean I'm a nutcase who is 1 dimensional with zero perspective in life. I just happen to love bodybuilding, competing or not. I'm not gonna get all artsy and grapefruity like Kai, but it is an art, I would feel off if I couldnt do this. I genuinely love it.

I can appreciate your calmness and not getting offended.

But you have to realize your entire life IS INDEED structured around bodybuilding.

Do you weigh your food at family/holiday/birthdays, etc.?

If you have some cake, I bet you do a little extra cardio the next day.

Hard to put into words, but this life is hardly balanced.

no sir

I murder absurd amounts of cheat foods every 3 or 4 days. Nothing is more anabolic than dirty food!

you seem to assume an awful lot about my eating habits...but you're kinda missing the boat. I don't sacrifice any happiness in my life by doing what I do. I pick things up and put them down, and I eat lots of food. This is fun to me, I do it cuz I like it. I'm a kid though, only 24, no kids, I can actually live this way now and have a blast doing it.

I understand, but hopefully you realize that this is far beyond fun.  It's your psychology that is telling  you that it's fun.

Let me ask you, let's say you have no school for the weekend, and your girlfriend shows up to suprise you with a weekend getaway.  I can bet you would find any reason not to go...it would be far too unstructured. I'm sure every reason you found not to go would be "legitimate" though, but the underlying reasons would be  Might miss a meal, etc. Am I right?

Hoarders enjoy living amongst things. Doesn't mean it"s normal.

Not being a dick, but you're young. Live life.

LOL, if his "psychology" (what the fuck does it mean to have a "psychology" - could you elaborate on that please?) tells him he is happy... isn't he happy essentially? So according to you there is just one way leading to happiness, and that is "enjoying life" according to western standards? For fucks sake, you're so narrow minded.

Hoarders think they are happy with things.

Addicts find hapiness in substances.

Gamblers find fun in the risk, sometimes risking everything, for happiness.

People with OCD find happiness in flipping switches 100 times and closing doors over and over.

Am I clear?

Only good if you are getting desperate for that 2:45am miracle to find a quick girl. Otherwise, we try to avoid it at all costs! Swarming with mud people. Can't take my girl there cuz I always end up in fights with the brothas (no hater Wiggs.) Downtown is fun, so is the village. Bettendorf has some nice spots too.

Those people are not "happy" though. My background is not in psychology, so I'm not wording this properly, but there's a difference.

Those people will tell you that they are happy if you asked.

Take a Hoarder's things away or make a gambler stop gambling and they will tell you they're unhappy.

It's the method to the madness. Only the in between is true happiness. Balance.

Balance means nothing is everything, IMO.

Yes, I have nothing against being an addict or gambling. Everything is fine as long as it doesn't bring misery in the long run. Who are you to judge someone and tell them what to do with their life and how to achieve happyness?

What you are criticising here is young guy who is sacrificing some part of his life to achieve his goal. That's his way to achieve joy. Who are you to judge him? Do you also attack chess players, professional mathematicians, ski jumpers, figure skaters and all sorts of other people who in order to achieve greatness in their disciplines sacrificed their social life?

I have NOTHING but respect for guys like that.

All of the professions you mentioned can be actual careers, and some even Olympic Sports.  Well worh the sacrifices that it takes to accomplish the elite level.

Now, in regards to bodybuilding, natural at that, how lucrative is that going to be in the end?

Who cares? How does that affect anything? If someone wanna go pro in long distance spitting then wow, go for it. At the end you're gonna die anyway and nothing of you except from your dead corpse will remain in this world. If he wants to achieve something in anything it doesn't matter how everyone else may perceive it.
