What does this picture tell you about spoiled people? Or people who constantly complain about life being unfortunate when they infact have good health, basic education, and a decent income. By the way do you think your favorite IFBB need to stick lots of needles to cross this bridge.

It's the luck of the draw. It really makes you think though...just imagine being unlucky enough to be born in a third world country like this or being born black or something.

HSHAHA, wtf you want us to say  ???

You think for example the bridges I drive on every morning to work, were dropped from heaven  ???

Haha, nooooooo bro.
Someone - my father and his father and father of him - built that bridge. They also maintained it in good condition through the years.
They put sum' work in it.

They too had an opportunity to pull few ropes over the river and settle with that.
But no, they started to study metallurgy, engineering etc. and built a proper bridge. No one gave it to them.

Great post chief.

Quite a coincidence, I've been thinking a lot lately about how relative our little "miseries" are.

A few week ago, thru a friend, I met a marine that featured in the documentary "The Battle of Marjah", I was truly amazed by his experience. When I asked him what's the most important thing he learned during that tour he said "nowadays, every time I get upset about day to day life or worry too much, all I have to do is remember my tour and what I saw and experienced. Then simply smile and shake it off"

Spoiled people?  Better question - why don't they fix the bridge?

I know I'm an asshole but I really don't care. I could have had kids a long time ago, but my job simply doesn't allow me to have kids. Why would I want a kid when I'm never home? Would you feel sorry for me if I had a bunch of kids but wasn't around? Would you feel bad for my wife if she had to do everything while I'm gone for 2 weeks? Probably not which is why I could care less if you have 10 kids and you cant feed them. Survival of the fittest, the weak die off. Don't fuck with mother nature.

Well, even if they fixed the bridge, the bridge would not compare to even a basic bridge built in a major country.

Sure, they can easily fix the bridge or perhaps build a better one. But as you see, there are old women (about 80) and young children (about 7) crossing the bridge. I hardly think they can assist in fixing the bridge. Even if the men in the community wanted to fix the bridge, they may only be able to fix what they have, not create something better, unless given the proper resources. Even if the common man was motivated to build a bridge, where would they get the resources from?  Money is not going to just appear.

It's easy for people in first-world countries to comment whose ancestors themselves came from developed nations and continued the traditions and mentality of the Old World.

The people in that pic probably have zero education, no income and are living day by day while their shitty government is stealing all the money for themselves and trying to keep the masses ignorant and stupid.

It's easy to comment if you're not living in the same circumstances. Remember, education and schooling gives you a different mentality. So to take your current mind-set and apply it to another type of life and existence is not practical.

Exactly. The people in the picture may well be very motivated to build a bigger and better bridge, but resources (tools, money, etc) don't just appear out of no where. All the bridges built in first-world countries are funded by someone or something (obviously).

This gentleman is correct.  Of course there are exceptions to the rule, but in the greater scheme of things and given today's technological advancements the majority of people on this planet have access to the tools to get the job done.  Does that mean they can put up a concrete bridge or even a reasonable version of the London Bridge?  No and the reason is this.

Some segments of humanity have evovled better than others.  It has nothing to do with "racism" as we are all of the same race, i.e., human.  Elsewise how would be able to intermarry and produce children?  There is a reason some countries are called "third world".  They are primitive.

So then, what to do?  Give them a bridge or teach them how to build a better one themselves?  The former will ultimately result in said bridge falling into disrepair while the latter will build not only a bridge across the river, but one that leads to a better future.

And that, my friends, is the TRUTH.

Oh, and another truth is that liberalism leads nowhere.  It builds nothing and only tears down good.  And for what I ask you?  Indentured servitude for a vote.

I doubt these people are unhappy because of their shitty "bridge". They probably don't reflect upon it as we do, they just cross it.

You could actually argue that our "material lifestyle" makes us unhappy.

this is why sociology should be mandatory in highschool imo. Most won't take it upon themselves to go out and experience other parts of the world to see just how good they have it.

I remember once I got back from a tour overseas how grateful I was just to lay on a carpet floor under air conditioning. LOL
